IC: Ethlawen
“My name is Usilidur Wenoway, son of Salina Wenoway and Usilidur the First. As, I have heard, you are Ethlawen and I am pleased to make your acquaintance. I am just as glad of your timely arrival.”
Ethlawen smiled at Usilidur. "An honor to meet you Usilidur. I used to know your mother Salina, I can see you have inherited some of her kindness. I ask your pardon for calling you a human, I didn't notice your elven traits at first glance."
Just then she heard Halidir say "I come on behalf of the Elven Lords Celeborn and Galadriel of Lothlorien, and Elrond of Rivendell. I bring you a message, the treason of Isengard belongs to all the free peoples of Middle-Earth."
Ethlawen's face paled. She is in deep trouble.

OOC: Am waiting on Elu to post as Tareya before posting as Alagosir.
IC as Theniniel
"An honor to meet you Usilidur. I used to know your mother Salina, I can see you have inherited some of her kindness. I ask your pardon for calling you a human, I didn't notice your elven traits at first glance."
“I have something, of which to take care, Then. Do you want to stay with Ethlawen and catch up?”
Theniniel debated about the question silently and gave him a warm smile in return. "I shall remain here with Ethlawen, though," she said casting a thoughtful look to her friend. "We should not simply stand here and do nothing. Not before the tide of war."
The Elvish maiden gave a small bow with her head to the other maiden of Rivendell. "If you would excuse my presence. I must speak to Usilidur. I trust we will be able to speak again later?" With a small quirk of a grin, she moved to Usilidur's side to move off with him.
"Tell me, my love, where do you believe we should be posted? Together or separated along the wall?" she questioned him in a soft tone and pointed her finger along the wall of the great Helm's Deep.
Being at each other's side could mean more control for the archers, however, if she was also on the other side of the wall from him, she could ensure her voice was heard for commands. And leading a large party of archers, they needed to be able to hear their orders over the rush of warriors. Five thousand, to be exact.

IC: Ragnar
Ragnar twirled his sword round in his hands as they waited to see who would make the first move. The Easterling on the far left looked tense as his eyes darted from Ragnar to Faramir rapidly.
He then rushed from his spot with his spear aimed at Ragnar, blocking the head of the spear the Easterling staggered. Ragnar pulled him inwards, burying his sword into the torso. He retracted quickly to block the incoming attack from above.
Ragnar pushed down upon his weapons to force the Easterling down allowing him space to cut across his chest.
He gave a nod towards Faramir to quickly finsh the last three.

Of Usilidur Wenoway at Helm’s Deep
Usilidur was walking towards the armory, when Theniniel called him back. He spun on his feet to meet her.
"Tell me, my love, where do you believe we should be posted? Together or separated along the wall?"
Usilidur stood thoughtful, for a moment. How would his troops fare best? He nodded.
“We need large groups to be effective, but I would say two forces. I will command one, but can you command the other?”
Without waiting for an answer, Usilidur continued. He wanted to dole out the plan, without any interruptions.
“On either side of the pass, our archers need to be set. We need them hidden, in case of a counter attack. Among the rocks, with a group set to fire, with another reloading their weapons. We can fire in waves and keep a steady flow of arrows flying.
Can you gather the forces for me? I am going to bring soldiers with extra arrows, but I still have to take care of something.”
Usilidur didn’t wait for an answer, again. He brought his hand to Theniniel’s face, cupping her cheek. Planting a kiss, softly, on her lips, he whispered.
“I love you, dear Theniniel.”
Usilidur turned on his heel and jogged off.

IC: Ethlawen
If you would excuse my presence. I must speak to Usilidur. I trust we will be able to speak again later?"
Ethlawen nodded and watched as Theniniel left her to speak with Usilidur. That gave her some time to think over what she just learned. Of course she knew Salina, she was one of her teacher's when she was an elfling. She was always kind to her, she was like another mother or sister to her. But this gave Ethlawen a disturbing thought. Why did Salina's kin reject her, let alome her son? She was away at Rivendell when this happened. She remembered that changed her view of her race. For the first time, she didn't see her kin as the kind race she grew up knowing.

IC: as Hector
Helm's Deep
Hector was rather detached from the entire procession in front of him. More elves arrived, yet the more time spent here is time wasted.
Yet after a few more minutes dwindled by, he, for one, couldn't stand it any longer.
"Lord Eomer," he adressed, "it is all well and good to have more numbers. But, we must depart immedeatly, if we are to pick off the Uruks while their still in the pass."

IC: Eomer
Rain began to fall as several torches could be seen coming around the canyon. Those torches soon multiplied, and the force that was Saruman's monster was soon realizied. Thousands of Uruks began pouring into that narrow pass.
Eomer nodded to the men manning the gate, signaling for the gate to be opened. He rode out with two other men and Haldir, flying both the green flag of Rohan and the golden flag of Lothlorien. In response, two Uruks riding upon wargs rode out to meet them.
"If you have come to offer your surrender, I'm sure Saruman will gladly take you as slaves," the Uruk began the negoiations. "But I'd rather you not. We have journeyed long, and my men are thirsty for blood!"
"By coming here you threaten the sovereignty of Rohan," Eomer countered. "Turn back now, Uruk, or face utter destruction. This is my final offer."
The Uruk laughed, "We'll take our chances."
"So be it," Eomer turned his party back towards the fortress. As they entered the gate, the great horn of Helm Hammerhand sounded. Arrows began flying out of unknown places in the mountains near the canyon pass.
The Battle for Helm's Deep had begun.

OOC: Double post I know, but I realized I had a Tag waiting from Sheogorath.
IC: Faramir
Faramir lunged forward, alongside his friend, at the remaining Easterlings. They were tired, frightened, and did not match the skill of an Ithlien Ranger. He parryed an attack and countered by disarming the man. He finished him off with a thrust to the chest. The other two were overtaken rather easily by he and Ragnar.
Wiping off his sword, Faramir looked at the carnage around them, particulary one who looked to be the youngest of the party, "You wonder what his name is, where he comes from, and if he really was evil at heart. What lies or threats led him on this long march from home, and would he not rather have stayed there... in peace?"
He sighed and mounted his horse, "War will make corpses of us all."

OOC: I do a bit of control over Theniniel, spacey, I hope it is alright. It's nothing big.
Of Usilidur Wenoway
Usilidur nocked his bow and signaled for the rest of his troops to do the same. In a quick motion, they all brought their weapons to ready. Across the pass, Theniniel was giving the same order. Eomer was meeting with the Uruks, for one further, desperate request for peace. It must have gone awry, because the horn that was to signal their attack sounded.
Usilidur brought his arm up, it was matched over a hundred times by bows. Sharp arrows shook, waiting to be released into soft flesh. He had instructed his men to arm for necks and under the arm. It was the only soft places, that would do any sort of damage.
His breath was shallow, his heart thumping. He could hear the soft breathing of his men, and the sound of the Uruk-hai cursing under their breath. He let his hand drop and he glanced up to see Theniniel do the same. A few hundred arrows flew down, preying upon the black-skinned monsters. It would be a long day, bloody and brutal.

IC as Theniniel
Theniniel stood perfectly still as she watched each and every archer under her command. The Elvish warriors were just as silent as her, staring off ahead with determination scorching their eyes darken by the night and the rain pouring heavily down upon them. She briefly found the rain fitting the situation they were in. Heavily outnumbered. But they would make it out alive. She looked to the other end of the large wall and could easily pick out Usilidur, due to his grandfather's armor being a bit older then the other Elves surrounding him. She frowned and mentally sent off a prayer to keep them alive.
Thunder brought her out of her thoughts and turned her attention immediately to the dark landscape that stretched on before them. No, it wasn't thunder. Her sharp blue eyes spotted several small torches making a slow advance toward the ancient Helm's Deep. Her already fair face blanched at the uncountable number of torches. They were outnumbered, it was certain now. Even though her face stark white, it still kept up her stern expression.
Simply waiting for the large troop of enemies to come to a halt before the stone walls seemed like an entire day had passed, but Theniniel knew it only had to have been less than an half an hour. When they did finally come to a halt, Eomer, Haldir, and a few personal warriors at their sides rode out to exchange words to the Uruks. Normally she would have been able to hear due to her being on the side closer than Usilidur, however the grunts and shouts from the other Uruk-Hais and the rain pounding against her limited her hearing a bit. But, she didn't need to know what they said. The small group retreating and the deep horn being blown told her exactly what she needed to know.
"Prepare the arrows!" she barked out in Elvish to the warriors following her lead. Her group and Usilidur's all fitted their arrows in a fluid motion and drew the twine strings back.
At almost the exact moment, Usilidur and Theniniel threw their arms down to give their warriors the signal. The signal to release the arrows. Her eyes followed the shafts as they soared into the dark sky and fell like rain upon their enemies. Several Uruks collapsed to the muddy ground, but not enough. She quickly moved her arm back to signal more arrows.

IC: Ethlawen
Further down, Ethlawen strung her bow and fired into the flesh of an Uruk-Kai. The fellow elves at her end were doing great job sending hail after hail of arrows at the Uruk army. Stopping to take a break from shooting her bow. Because her hands were hurting she walked along her group giving words of encouragment
"Good job, guys!" she souted in Elvish. Just than, one of her elves shouted "Ladders!"
Not good. Ethlawen thought. She raced to the edge of the walls and spoted the uruks were drawing up ladders.

Ethlawen looked in disbelif as the uruk army started to set up the ladders. She drew her sword and and ordered her elves to do the same. As the uruk-kai drew up their ladders to the wall, an uruk bezerker jumped on the top of each ladderers reached the wall, the bezerker jumped off and slashed through the elven warriors.

Tareya Horosil IC:
Tareya smirked as it caught the attention of the elves and man and they all seemed quite excited.
"So you've heard of it then? That is great!" a smug expression soon appeared on her face, "Varesi and I guard it. The Door of Night isn't far outside Ceraias. If you'd like, we can go grab my brother and I'll lead you all to it."
She folded her arms and kept up her gleeful smirk, waiting for their reply.
