This RPG will be one of dedication. Not that I like star trek over star wars but I thought it was time for something different. Within the next few days I will need 3 - 4 players other than myself. Here's the game:
Not too many years into the future of star trek The federation has been scattered. A great enemy quickly overan the federation, amoung other things, and has began to move on elsewhere. Through the conquring of earth few survived with use of illigal clokeing devices. The enemy is the same as stargate atlatis... the wrath. they are moving on in the galaxy now to continue there quest for power. The survivors of earth have established the "united last stand", or what many have come to call it, "the Resistance"
not much has survived but a handful of ships that were recovered and repaired, commendered, or were privetly owned.

Ship: Defiant
Bio: once a promissing federation captain untill the invasion started. after his ship was near distruction they retreated to a nearby system to repair... that was two years ago. he has returned with his crew and ship to only find a small resistance on earth.

I thought i should mention for future reference that the reason there are different variations of the phasers is that they charge differently/ deal different amounts of damage/ and use up there battery in different amounts
type 1 hand phaser: very accerate / lesser damage / 20 shots /ion charge
type 2 hand phaser: accurate / sub-damage / 16 shots or stun /ion charge
type 3 hand phaser: less accerate / medium damage / 12 shot or stun /plasma charge
type 4 hand phaser: not accerate / high damage / 8 shot or stun / 1 12 second stream /plasma charge
type 1 phaser rifle: very accerate / medium damage / 10 shot / 1 8 second stream /photonic charge
type 2 phaser rifle: accurate / high damage / 8 shot / 1 6 second stream /quantum charge
type 3 phaser rifle: less accurate / very high damage / 6 shot / 1 4 second stream /quantum charge
the accurate scale goes:
very inaccurate
inaccurate
not accurate
less accurate
moderatly accurate
accurate
very accurate
prestigesly accurate
the damage scale goes:
minimal damage
lesser damage
sub damage
medium damage
high damage
very high damage
critical damage
very critical damage
and remember "size matters" there are places in the galaxy that have hated the federation, stealth is a good thing.
the hand phasers start small at the size of a 9 mm pistol to big at the size of a .50 cal desert eagal. the rifles get bigger and heavyer too and make sure your weapon fits your character. oh, and sence i forgot to add what we are all wearing i will do so now... we all have traveler garb. brown boots, treanch coat, white tunic, black pants. if you dont like it you better make friends with a military or the resistance because thats who would have other clothing. your crew also wear rags to start with, everyones crew. it can change and probibly will. other than that i await more players just pm me your characters and i will tell you when to post.

another thing... i will roll alot of variables that we will inconter via dice, now that doesn't apply to everything though. but when combat occurs dont post that you shoot and hit something or that you transfer power and accomplish something. instead say that you target and fire... i will narrorate when you hit or miss. and i will play the roll of both Ogio lorado and all of your crews. now when i play as your crews i take into consideration your leadership and the moral of the men. when you want to accomplish anything you think would need to be rolled on, just order your crew and i will respond your outcome. now in my case i will be recruting one player to be my co-piolet. he will be my crew, that will help prevent me from going into god-mode. i already have someone in mind. I'm also opening the floor to anyone who wants to be a player on anyone elses crew. so when people begin to post there characters and ships all your character sheet has to say for ship status is, serving under "ships name"
also i will be checking on this forum regurly. now i dont ask the same dedication from all of you but i do ask for dedication. if you will be gone or will leave for good, pm me and i will work out a decent ending for you. and remember... i am human, and i dont spell well, deal with it

OOC:not undermining you, but the we shoot and you say if we miss or hit...it wont work. People will post, and wait for u 2 repsond while theyre sat doing nothing with a friend, bcos theyre waiting fr you to say if they hit. Its like in the SW ones, its like the charas are outnumbered, or better than all his/her colleagues, so they hit more often. so u know...we know not to kill eachother, and we can shoot eachother, but not deadly, and let them respond to being hit or dodging, like in a battle. But the roll thing is odd...ur making the forum too strict mate.

What i plan to do is if you shoot at a small ship that is very fast and manuverable then i will depict wether or not you hit them. however if you shoot a borg cube, you can assume you hit is, there frikin huge! so you can go ahead and assume as you will and all i will do is dispute your success when nessissary and i will determine your damage at an accurate annd biased level. so really you dont have to wait on anything, proced and i will stop you as nessesarry. sorry for the confussion/frusteration

Race: Tarlagon (Tar-la-gone) (In essence, a wookie, but can speak a fluent lenguage other than shouts and barks, and is slightly less hairy and more dextarious)
Hight/Weight: 7' / 245 lbs
Primary weapon: Phaser Rifle Type 3
Crew/#: First Officer (Co-Pilot)
Ship: Serves under the Defiant
Bio: Wookshy was born on "Attamon 5" and worked alot on the nearby spaceport, modifying and working on starships that came in. Wookshy got a degree in Engeineering and Piloting at an early age, due to his parents being high ranking officials that he couldnt spend much time with. He also didnt go to school, but he knows everything he needs to for his hobby. He joined the Defiant after it landed on the port, and the Captain liked Wookshy's skills after they had to fend off a Mercenary attack, and hired him on as his Co-Pilot.

Age: 42
Race: Human, Captain Seltson has short brown hair with piercing hazel eyes. However his body is long and out of proportion almost comical. His long arms and legs completely out of place of his torso.
Hight/Weight: Captain Seltson is six feet two and weighs one hundred and fifty pounds.
Primary weapon: Type 2 Hand Phaser
Crew/#: The Crew of the USS Maginot numbers 175.
The crew is loyal to Captain Seltson he has captained the ship for over three years and has shown remarkable command abilities. The loyalty comes from pure trust, he does not often speak with members of the crew leaving that to his command staff. Instead it is the respect of the situations he has been able to lead them through, not his personality, that makes them loyal.
Ship: The USS Maginot is a Prometheus class starship.
Bio: Timothy Seltson came from a long line of captains and admirals. He passed the academy with ease and after years of hard and medal winning work became a captain. The freakishly long limbed man led his ship throughout several battles against the wraith, always able to escape just in time.

Please pull all crew members and resources along with you, you may need them. All Captains of ships are asked to vote on our next steps to opposing our enemys. Also an update on our status and our enemys will be presented in the great hall. This meeting will start approximatly tuesday november 12.

Ship: prometheus class
Bio: He was born a happy little BOY untill he was captured one night by the borg and was assimalated. Thus he was once of the most powerful race the galaxy had ever known but ever since he was resuced by his crew in mid combat from the borg hes basically owed his life to them and gradually rose his was up through the ranks.He still has some of his borg implants and uses them as an advantage but still needs to recharge form time to time. After being freed from the life of the borg he has had four other friends of his but has lost contact with them and only remembers them from his childhood he considers them dead most of the time. During his "life of solitary" he commandeered a prometheus class ship. He does randomly recruit shipmates and order in androids from time to time but not all the time. He is glad to be free from them but he is slowly still gaining his humanity back and he starting with joining the resistance.

Wookshy looked at the console as it beeped for the message to be relayed to the Command deck, he called down to his Captain "Sir?" he growled "There has been a coded message from United Last Stand" to all other member sof the crew there, all they could hear was a bunch of roared and groaned syllables, but Wookshy was not talking to them, so he did not care. He saw on the subtitle screen above the viewport, what he had said, only it diddnt translate it, Wookshy saw his Captains figer on the null translate button, so all it read was. "Aoacworcwo acrac rhwowowh ra oaoowawowa scwoccrarrwo wwrcoosc huwhahaowowa anracao caorawhwa" Wookshy smiled.

Ogion gave a suttle grin. this was not new to him, he found it to be funny that one of his more loyal a professsional crewman had to be traslated to understand. he ingaged the translate and read the message.
"number one, will you have the crew begin sub-space jump to the desired corordinates, make it warp 6.5 .
also have the hull and cloking online and functional by the end of our jump. we should be at our destination in approximatly 17 hours. after that please join me in my ready room... the bridge is yours"
He then proceeded out of his room and down a short coorodore to a turbolift. after he finished with that he took the door to the bridge and without a word or glance he went into his ready room to await his co-pioet

Wookshy heard the instructions, and encouraged the troops with a helping "anwoaoc waoo ra rroooowa shoorh!" He moaned a laugh as the Men jumped, as he ahd shouted it, some of them were a little afraid of the towering furball, he then clicked the translate button, and a reassuring "Lets do a good job!" message appeared on the screen. Wooshy left the bridge, entering Ogions Ready-Room, he sat down. He turned to his Companion "That was enterprising" he said in English. He smiled at his Captain and awaited a repsonse.

"The defiant has minor damage on her belly and our cloking is relitvly crap at the moment..." The captain then turned behind his desk and ordered the computer, "two romulan ales computer" and then as if from magic two small glasses of romulan ale synthisized upon a pannel on a counter. the captain reached over and rabed them then passed his partner a drink.
"The federation is pretty much destroyed and we are one of about a handful of men who posses a ship. I mean ts possible we have allies who are meeting us but... it could also be a trap... What do you think?"

He rejected the drink, but answered the question "I think that we should go, but in a few measurements lower than told, therefore we will evade any attack that miht be there, and our belly will be covered. Also, we can jump out if the need occurs" he proposed in his regular gruff and growlish accent when speaking in english, he always preferred to speak his native, as it diddn't damage his vocal cords as much, it had been a strain for him to speak English, like other members of his race. But he awaited an answer from his Captain.
