In Game: The reticle swings into position over your right eye and you see an enlarged view of the Hover Craft ahead of you. It starts to zig zag and it's turret swings around to face your hover craft.
"you've got one easy shot, Colonel before Tanner has to start evasive manuvers. Make it count," says Nimrod and fires his hand held gauss cannon.
OOC: The firing control is right in front of your right hand. (A Joy stick.) Once you position the cross hairs on your target press the lock button, then press the fire button to hit. The gauss cannon is gyro stabilized to improve your, to hit ratio.
IC: "Umm, what happens if I hit the Carbon Death?!?!"

IC: As Nimrod, Attila, Bowie and Tanner. "Not a problem, Colonel," piped Bowie. "Kato and Dai Wu have the C.D. in there hot little hands. They've already reached the top of the chasm wall and are hunkering down now."
"Shoot!" bellowed Nimrod. Their almost at the buldge of the wall! If they get behind it they can detinate it!!!"
Just then the enemy Hover Craft began to jet out a dark cloud of smoke that was impervious to IR vision or IR scans. In desperation Nimrod fired several rounds into the quickly expanding smoke cloud from his gauss rifle to no avail...
OOC: Shoot and maybe hit or not at all. Do or do not there is no try...

"Nice shot, Colonel. Tanner bring us past the target on the far side of the smoke. Put the wall between
us and the Pod just in case that turkey has some kind of deadman switch. Everybody keep it frosty.
Attila, you watch our six from back at the pod. We're still clueless as to where the other two
HCs are at. Colonel would you be so kind as to keep your eyes open for those other two HCs along with
Attila? If He spots them heading our way, he'll need your fire power to stop them."
"Captain, Dui Wu is asking for an update on the situation," said Bowie.
"Tell him to sit tight until old Iron Fist shows up with the cavalry from Chryse Planitia," replied
Nimrod.
"Nimrod! I've got movement from that HC!" yelled Tanner.
"Heads up you apes. We've got activity in that cloud of smoke! All guns at the ready!"
OOC: Doc, you pick up activity from your gunnery radar scope. There appears to be two targets approaching at
high speed towards your HC's position from the direction of the cargo pod.

In Game: Attila snaps a peek at your radar tracker and links a heads up, to the rest of the Goons.
"Keep making like Dr. Doom with that Gauss Cannon and keep 'em off our tails while we take out the 'Wise Apple' inside the roll over, Colonel," says Nimrod as he and the rest of the Goons bail out and hop towards the trashed HC. Ironman turns and looks at you. "I'll help keep her reloaded, Colonel," he says and starts doing just that. Tanner, anticipating return fire starts to weave the HC from side to side making all of you a harder target to hit. Good thing too, 'cause some rounds go streaking by without even slowing down as they rip though the space where you formerly occupied.
Your scope shows you damage inflicted upon the two HCs from your rounds fired. They didn't see you through the smoke at first. But they definately do now and they begin dodging and weaving too as they continue to race your way albeit somewhat slower due to that damage mentioned earlier.
"Keep shooting colonel! The only good enemy HC is a gutted one!" yells Iron Man.
"Yeah, give 'em hell, Doc!" Tanner bellows.

IG: BLAM BANG BLAM BANG BLANG!!!!!
In Game: Smoke begins trailing out of the approaching HC's hull as it spins out of control. Upon penetration by your last round, it explodes and pops its top. Ironman turns to you and says, "You the man Carlos Hathcock. You've returned from the dead".
"Pipe down back there," says Tanner as he brings the captured HC around to face the last intact HC. "We need to provide cover for the fire team."
IC as Nimrod, Attila, Bowie and Van De Camp: Bowie laid a line of blastex along the seam to the HC's rear hatch entry. All fire team members pulled back and found cover. Boom! The hatch was no longer an obsticle. Attila took point and entered the upside down HC. Van De Camp was strapped into his chair but all life signs were off. On IR his meat within the chassie was starting to cool. Dead!
"Bowie, help Attila search for a deadman switch or any other device he'd use to detinate the portable reator back at the pod. Be careful of boobie traps."
"Found something, Captain," said Attila. "It appears to be decrimenting down towards zero!"
Bowie spotting something in a military styled ammo box closed the led sealed it and took it.
"Everybody out, out , out!!!! Tanner swing that crate around and show us the rear hatch so we can jump in!!"
As they escaped the confines of the HC, they're HC could be heard swinging around to recieve them. All three literally jumped through the rear hatch and landed in a heap inside the HC.
"Wagons west Tanner Go, Go, Go!!!" bellowed Nimrod.
Attila got up and secured the rear entrance.

In Game: "Duh, Doc, Dai Wu and Kato have it up along the ridge of the Chasm, west of where you bailed on me. Don't you remember when Bowie told you about that a few minutes ago? Tanner! Make back to the erosion path back up to the top of the ridge and head for there location stat!" Nimrod yelled.
"On it, Bossman!" Tanner returned.

"We're clear of the lip!" called Attila.

"Gun it Tanner. We've got to live to fight that 'nother day!" rumbled Nimrod.

"Captain, I've signaled Dai Wu and Kato. I've instructed them both to put more distance between themselves and the cargo pod's location. They say they haven't stopped running since they reached the top of the ridge to begin with," called Bowie.

"I've broke the stop bolt, Nimsy. we're doing 145 and increasing," Tanner hissed.
6...
"We've got to make this turn Tanner. You're going to have to over steer it to do it!" grated Nimrod.
5...
"Hey Cap! Did I ever tell you that I was racing cars before I started flying?" chortled Tanner.
4...
"Nimrod! Decker's on the horn. Says there within 12 miles of the Chasm and closing from the north," called Bowie.
3...
"Nimrod to Decker--Nimrod to Decker, Big Flash Emergency, Go to ground, Go to ground, Go to ground!"

"Turn coming up Gents. Hang on to your jock straps," said Tanner.
The HC skewed sideways and started changing course as the thruster fans bit air and pushed head long towards the wall. The erosion clearing popped into view and the HC hit the ramp at a heart stopping 100 mph.

"I think I just loaded my shorts," croaked Ironman.

A new star appeared in Hebe Chasm, where once stood a simple cargo pod. It instantly reached out five miles in all directions. IT WAS HOT!!!!!!!!!!
