"alright here we go!" Ironman starts up the crawler and starts driving and begins picking up speed and sets it on auto cruise "ok i sure do hope JD is ready to make the jump because i dont think the crawler will be in a good peice one were done." Ironman says to himself as he preps himself for the large jump he has to make once he presses the button.

IC: As Nimrod and Paul Tanner. Life was about to get rough, Paul knew this. Sometimes like this he wished that he had a combat chassi like Nimrod too but was happy with his own body. He hugged his "Willy" gun closer and kept the HC on course down the erosion trail as fast as he dared. It was leveling out! Yea, now I can pour on the speed, he thought.
"When we clear the clutter of the wall, make to the right and gunnit so we don't show late for the party!" yelled Nimrod.
"I don't know if this crate is structurally sound enough for any hits with rocks and other things, but I'll do my best, sir!" yelled Tanner back. He slamed the speed and directional controls about for the turn and then full foreward once they cleared the chasm wall. a rooster tail of dust was forming as they shot foreward towards the Cargo pod's location. 90, 100, 110, 120 mph. Yea it was getting a little windy with the holes in this crate, but that came with the job...
Nimrod couldn't use the HC's own rail gun. They hadn't had time to repair or replace its damaged firing components. That was OK, because he had something worse than that mounted in his arms. Much worse! Somebody was going to bleed real bad before this martian day was done!
IC: As Van DeCamp with his remaining AR Burroughs FBCs. B1 move to cover B6's position in case we have more than we bargained for. B5, report! B4, report! No answer was forthcoming, though he'd thought he'd heard the squeel of metal being scraped against metal thirty seconds earlier. The scans showed no infrared signs whatsoever! VanDecamp was getting a sinking feeling that he had walked into the proverbial mouse trap and it was armed with a cat or two. If he'd lost those two he'd sent on ahead, he was down to three left in his extraction squad. Not good.
IC: As Goons Alpha-111, Attila and Alpha-203, Bowie. With their heat damns engaged the two Goons were invisible on infrared. They just dragged their first two foes to the back and had dropped them in a heap. Their life signs were terminated.
It sounds like they have...they have three more Burroughs and a Wiseman, cybered Attila to Bowie, his wing shaped antenna pivoting foreward to back.
A wiseman, huh? Switch to cypher mode sigma from now on for when we chat, Bowie returned. Also switch to rail guns too, since the crash most of the delicate stuff is trashed anyways and the most important item is out of here too. So let's just hose 'em.
Bowie liked the way Attila thought...but. How's about we check the remotes too. Just to be absolutely sure.
No! They can jack into any system you can think of and take over, just like that! Even ours! No we take them out now!
Just then the roof caved in and pinned them both to the floor as an entire crawler came through the ceiling and crashed to the ground still rolling foreward at a very fast pace. Some days it didn't pay to argue.
OOC: Tag guys; you're crawler-at least-is inside the cargo pod. Your crawler made it to the roof but the sheer impact of falling upon it collapsed it and you've landed on both Attilla and Bowie. Who unbeknownst to you two, are pinned underneath your transportation though not necessarily crushed. Yep, it's a rough night in Jericho, boys. I don't know if your still in the crawler or not, so its your call. Oh the twists and turns in our story.

With my Willy gun, I jump out of the crawler, and look all around. If one of those guys that were crushed by the crawler are sticking out, I see them, and pump 'em full of whatever it is that my gun shoots.

OOC: To correct the reality of the situation, they are not crushed, but pinned underneath the roof which is under the tracks of the crawler. No you do not see either of them.

Ironman wakes up and does a diagnostics check to see if everything is functioning and looks around "well it looks like we made the jump but we took a nasty spill, and so did the crawler." Ironman does a quick check to see if his weapons are still on him. "yea my weapons are still functioning and are in good condition. Hey JD you still alive?"

OOC: As soon as you arrive at the CD holding area, you two find yourself face to face with three AR Burroughs. They've just arrived themselves to the "Special Storage" location, of the Cargo Pod. Burroughs are especially made to operate on Mars for combat purposes. They appear to be in high alert and armed with "willy" guns. They spot you two simultaneously and will fire at you simultaneously. You can jump and shoot, shoot, jump or you can stand there and whistle Dixie.  Your choice gents. I'll let you know what they do after you post your combat actions. They are not yet within melee combat range, Ironman unless you choose to declare you are going to through an axe at one of them. Hint: "Willy" guns have A.M. rounds in their magazines. They also know that if you have "willy" guns too, you have A.M. rounds in your magazines.

OOC: Yeah, A.M. rounds. In the Sten Series of Sci-Fi stories written by, Allen Cole and Chris Bunch, the Willy gun was a weapon of very interesting abilities. It had a laser emitter that was used to clear the atmosphere out of the way for a microscopic partical of A.M. encapsulated in a material called Imperium-X that had a miniscule crack in it's layer. It also had spin applied to it for another purpose. That purpose was to cause the A.M. rounds to make 90 degree turns to hit their targets if they hid behind solid enough objects that would otherwise have stopped them. An A.M. round can take out a person permanently. An example of the kind of power that it has would be similar to the handywork of the Predator Plasma Cannon wound taken by the M-134 minigun toting merc in the movie Predator. Got the picture?

OOC: AM=Antimatter. The rounds incased in imperium-X are microscopic particulates so small that you can't see them without an electron microscope. To give you an idea as to the size critical feature of AM, one gram of it would be sufficient to cause an annialation zone with a diameter of 1000 miles across. As for the homing feature, the particals are spinning at a very high rate of rotation and controled by a tractor/pressor beam as they speed out from the barrel of the willy gun. By tilting the partical at a crucial point it changes the direction radically at right angles. Hence the ability for it to turn corners and head in a new direction to target. OK?
In Game: As you two head into the same area as the the three AR Burroughs, one of them is peering into the special cargo container's holding safe. Just as you guys are about to let fly, he yells, "Hey! It's not here!"
