Seems like "events" such as this could/should come to the attention of some of the other groups (ie. 501st Legion Cloud City Garrison/Rebel Legion Kashyyyk Base, Dark Side Troopers) costumers if they want more of a Star Wars organizational influence to enhance the experience for all. Some members do live in areas other than Portland and could be able to make an appearence if planned well in advance.
With a lot of New Star Wars novels and other products coming out this year, that could garnner some Costumed appearences at such release partys/events. The Force Unleashed will be a HUGE event in itself. Just some asking around your local Book store, Comic Book store, Video game outlet to see if they are planning to hold an event and see if you can help out would bennifit OFF in our volunteering efforts for '08, and might lead to other opportunities.

At this point, it looks like it will be sometime in the morning. Specific times are yet to be decided on. There will be a Jeopardy style trivia contest, a best costume contest, and maybe a Star Wars voice imitation contest.
If I end up being able to go (early admit classes at a college in Salem, drat. I may skip though) There will be a presentation by the Lightsaber Creations CEO (AKA me) about lightsaber in general and mine in particular. I will also talk about the processes used to build the lightsabers, and I will bring my dueling blades so the Padawans can try out a lightsaber.

There will be an event that starts at 2:30 and goes until about 3:30, and then there may also be an event that runs from 4:00 until about 5:00 or 5:15. The first event will be geared more toward little kids, and the second event will be geared more toward older kids.
Because of college classes, I will only be attending the second event, but I will be bringing lots of lightsabers, a surprise (if I can get it done in time), my Jedi robe, and a set of Mandalorian armor. W will also bring a selection of Star Wars books, as well as a few "Odds and Ends" from my Star Wars stockpile.
