The Force Unleashed Videogame

Since member posting (or the lack thereof) has been an issue as of late. I just wanted to report that I put down a deposit on the game for my PS2 yesterday. I can't wait until this game comes out.
Some members of Cloud City Garrison are even attempting to create costumes based on the characters from the game. So let's hear it folks, sound off!

I for one can not wait for this game. As a video game fanaic this has to be the best one yet. WOuld not be surprised if it gets video game of the year. Assuming they do not push back the release date again.

This is coming out on the PS2? I know its on the 360 and PS3 but the PS2? I thought they bumped it back to make it better?

The did bump it to make it better. and that is a good thing. Because look how well KOTOR came out with all the bumps. This should be just as good.

It is due to be released in August. I confirmed with them that it was going to be available for the PS2... otherwise I wouldn't have put a deposit down! ;-)

I am confused. I thought this was supposed to be a next-gen game? You are correct that it is gonna be on PS2, Nintendo DS and PSP as well. I wonder if is gonna be the same game? Hmmm curious. I can't wait for it to come out.

It can't be the same game, it's not possible for an extremely old, ten years to be exact, system like the PS2 which is a technology dinosaur to be able to handle the capabilities of this extremely advanced game. It has to be rewritten for those systems or something, because the whole point of the game, I mean the reason anyone should be looking forward to it, is because of what it can do on the PS3 (and I guess Xbox 360), which is take advantage of multiple AI engines and physics engines to allow you to experience using the Force and being in the Star Wars galaxy like never before. That technology is not possible on old systems.
Why the PS2 is even hanging around like a bad smell I have no idea. It continues to sell units despite being in technology years about 115 years old. I remember playing the PS2, it was fun, the 1990s were great, but it's 2008.

Yes but just look at KOTOR and KOTOR2 that is hardcore proof that game delays can be worth it.

So is there a KOTOR 3 in the works?
I would rather have delays for a polished game than a rushed game. Take for instance SW Galaxies. Was not ready for release, LA/SOE released it, massive bugs, 3years worth of playing with problems and it still felt like it was a beta game. Plus they totally changed the game play and pissed off thousands of paying subscribers with an expansion that totally, Not cool. Of course it's only an online game and not a regular game, but still it's an investment of your time.
What's your time worth to you? I have better things to do than be pissed off at a game.
