Plenty of time to set something up ie. midnight showing get together at some determined theater, maybe hanging out with the local 501st Legion/Rebel Legion members at some theater, if we can get organized ie. have a meeting soon, and hang out as Star Wars fans at a Star Wars movie, costume or no costume. idea

Some of us are members of the costume groups, so we will find out what theater(s) that will be hosting the festivities and then we can see if we can join up with them. If that's what the membership wants to do or just hang out at some random theater

Show your fandomness by wearing a Star Wars t shirt or better yet, we get our own Oregon Fan Force t shirt made. idea

Lots of possibilities. cool

Hey everyone,

My martial arts school will be at the Regal Evergreen Cinemas on Aug. 15, 2008 from noon to 6pm. we will have a booth outside the main entry way and a table inside.

we'll be giving away a collectible edition of Kono magazine for kids that features the SWCWB on the cover, as well as interviews and pics inside. My students will also be doing light saber battles and demos.

I've requested appearances from just about every Portland area SW group, but nobody has replied.

I would love to have any and all SW fans in costume to help promote this event. We are also collecting $$ for a local non-profit family resource center

Please call me at 503-640-8400 if you can attend.

thanks, Mark.

Ah, Evergreen, my favorite Portland theater. That is where I saw all three of the Star Wars prequels. It will always be special to me, lots of good times I've had at that theater. When I go back to Portland and see a movie there it's always strange, there are always these other memories attached to just going to that theater. I have seen probably about 600 showings of films at that theater over the years. In 2002 alone I watched AOTC 54 times there, and total for that year I saw 260 screenings of films (I was a critic). Good times...

I missed out on getting tickets to the Hollywood ArcLight for Clone Wars, grr, I'm stuck at the Sherman Oaks ArcLight instead. At least our tickets are amazing... but still, blah.

Well, I hope some of you can make it to the premier tonight. If not, atleast see the movie some time during it's boxoffice run. I can't believe it's finally here. So excited to see a New Star Wars movie in a theater.

I thought the movie was good. IMO. It's ment for the kids anyway. I liked the action, and it has the feel of the AOTC/ROTS battles. cool

I would watch it over any Shrek movie.

But I expected a bigger turnout for the premier night, but maybe we'll see better numbers over the weekend.

Good times though at Lloyd Center, lots of characters. A wookiee, some rebels, stormtroopers and clones. Even a Slave Leia. shock

Was it worth the hype?
Is it up to Star Wars quality and tradition?
Will it be a classic?

Tell us more, tell us more?
