Light the Night Walk

This is a night walk for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. A few of you know that Leukemia is what my older brother died of, and that he is the reason I do the costuming thing.
I would like to invite anyone who is interested in doing this event with me to sign up for this event. If anyone is available, I would love the company. I registered as the Team Captain under Cloud City Garrison.
Currently, I am the only one signed up. Realistically, this event is coming up fast. This is a pledge drive, so I'd really like to have a team established within the next week or so. We only have five weeks to raise some money for this event. I will have this open until Saturday, September 6th. If I can't get any other team members, I will close this as an event and proceed on my own with personal donation raising. If anyone would like to donate to the cause, I would appreciate it. Just PM me for the details.
Because this is a pledge drive event I would like to get a team together, have the members raise funds to be turned in at the registration.
My personal goal is $200, with a team goal of $1000. I would love to exceed that, but I also want to keep it realistic as well.
I will be costuming for this one. It is not necessary to do so. But I want to because it is my way of honoring my brother. He would have liked idea of Star Wars costumers doing a night walk to raise funds for this disease.
The location is simple, it starts down at my work, the World Trade Center. This is a night time walk. Registration begins at 6:00pm and the walk starts at 7:30pm. All are invited. If you want to bring your families, I am not opposed to that - the more the merrier.

To sign up to be on the team go here:
http://register.lightthenight.org/LTNRegistration/app
Click the "join team" button
Left column "Search By" window, select "Team Name"
Right column put in Cloud City Garrison, click "Search"
Cloud City Garrison will pop up, click on that link. It should lead you to a sign up form to be added to the roster.

Blue and I would be happy to donate, and may be able to participate (depending on our schedule). But at a minimum we want to donate.

Don't forget to raise funds as individuals, as well. Hit up all of your friends and family. Let's try to reach the team goal of $500.

Way to go guys on participating in a great event.
Let's see if we can get a larger OFF group and really help out in this cause next year and other great causes out there.

Ummm.... it had been here for awhile, Larena. Sorry that you missed it. Maybe next year?
Of the $500 that I was hoping to raise, the team did manage to get about $360. So, it wasn't too bad. Hopefully next year I can get more participation out of the other costumers. I am disappointed that that there wasn't more interest, considering that they toute howthey do charity events and all.... and this definitely was a charity event.
But, there is always next year. Potential for more money earned for the cause, more participation and so forth.
