That is a cool feature, I mean being able to stream content when you want, I love that too. Just discovered that kind of recently, haha.
1080i is essentially what I shoot on for now, with the HVX200, I actually shoot 720p footage because progressive looks better than a faked 1080 interlaced image, but essentially the resolution is similar. With 1080p it's progressive rather than interlaced, so it looks smoother with better movements, etc. Not saying the broadcast 1080i looks bad, it looks way better than 480i, which is standard broadcast, but it just isn't quite as rich as 1080p.
Honestly that kind of stuff in some ways is more noticeable when you have a Quicktime file of a movie / music video, whatever, in 1080p versus one in 720p or 1080i, then you can see the size differences, resolution differences, movement tracking, etc. But they do manage to make 1080i on TV look pretty good usually.

Jiltedtoo posted: Film is going to go the same direction as music. People will buy less dvds or blu-ray discs and just start downloading films or doing what I can do now and watch HD movies on-demand.
Netflix has signed a deal with Xbox 360 to have its on-demand movie database accessible through xbox live. So if you have neflix you will be able to watch a library of over 10000 movies.
Its to the point now where buying discs is pointless and just takes up room.
I still like owning the movies I REALLY like. And my internet is crap so it would take a whole day and a half to download anything out here in the sticks. Plus once I own it I don't have to pay a fee every month to watch it. Even though Netflix is cool for the movies you watch once. It wouldn't work for me for the replayability. Blu-Ray here I come. Plus my 360 is in the "Star Wars" room.

Back on topic.
I thought the first 2 episodes were great. Even though it has it's moments of child humor, the action and developing storyline is awesome.
If you missed it friday night, they will be repeating the episodes during the week.

I missed it Friday night, due to participating in the Light The Night Walk (thanks Crash for having you and your family join me). But I did catch it last night.
It looks like it will air on Friday nights at 9pm (or was it 8pm) and again on Sunday nights at pm. Like Eric, I rather enjoyed these two episodes. Despite that you can tell it is geared for kids, it really is well-written.
Seeing the character development of Yoda and his Clones in the "Ambush" episode was pretty good. I liked how Yoda stressed the point that even though they look the same, they are unique individuals. I noticed that lieutenants name was Thire? So, is it to be assumed that he eventually makes the rank of Commander, to become the unit attached to Palpatine directly? I can't wait to see further development of that.
The next episode was pretty good, too. Seeing further development between Anakin and Ahsoka is to be expected. I heard a lot about Plo Koon and the kind of Jedi he is. It was interesting to see his character play out. A stark contrast between the Clones cynicism an his compassion for their well-being. It was an excellent episode.

After Blue saw how cool Ahsoka looks, she now wants to make a Ahsoka costume. (oh, another project we will never finish).
The only thing I didn't like about the shows were the voices of the droid troops......how annoying !!

Just get it on iTunes, best bet, you can get the whole season pass for only $40. That's less than $2 per episode, pretty sweet I think.
I loved the first two episodes, so stoked for the next, and the next, etc. I'm addicted already! I just think it's beyond cool that we have Star Wars to look forward to each week!

OK the two episodes I just saw were "Ambush" and "Rising Malevolence". Where those the first two? "Ambush" was SWEET! I really liked that one. Yoda, clones, droid army deaths. What else do you need?

Yeah it was the highest rated premiere in Cartoon Network's history, scored across all demographics. Also, it was already planned to make 100 episodes, at least. I don't know if that leaves it up to more if it succeeds better than expected or what, but my understanding was 100 episodes.
