I want to keep the picture thread for pictures so I brought this here.
Thoes are some cool photos man. I gotta ask tho, why were you wearing the star trek uniform while out with friends who didnt like star trek?
I also noticed your Opa sporting a Canadian CD (Canadian Decoration) (Its a medal that canada gives its soldiers ..... including me) How did he get a CD next to his German medals?

He always wanted to fly ever since he was a boy and had his mothers signature on the papers to join the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) before he decided to further his education instead but ended up drafeted to the Heer (Germany Army). In 1961 he joined the Canadian Air Force as a Chaplain and retired as a Major with the CD in 1975. He's wearing a RCAF blazer with CD, Iron Cross 2, War Merit Cross 2 and below too faint to see Tank Assault Badge in Bronze. He has the patch of his old unit "Großdeutschland" on the right sleeve and although the German medals all out rank the CD he has to wear the CD first because the otherones are foriegn and the Canadian medals outclass all foreign medals according to Canadian regulations. All his medals are 1957 Bundeswehr issue so they are politicaly correct and awarded by an allied military so they are allowed on Canadian dress. Aparently there was a German Knights Cross winner in the Canadian army that wore in Knights Cross around his neck a few times.
As for the Star Trek uniform, I wore it mainly to embaress my buddies for making fun of me for liking Star Trek so much. The best part was the forgot I had it on as it was a long trip and I did it all over again when we got to the next gas station as I freaked out cause we were going to miss our "Star Trek Party"
