I'd prefer that to the nasty wind.
Yesterday I was scared out of my mind when a loud alarm came on in the condo. It appears they have a high wind alarm that sounds. Gave me the heebiejeebies.

Being that Idaho is an hours drive from Spokane there isn't much difference between the two.
In Wisconsin, the only part about the weather that has had its mind made up so far is the wind. Tis pretty constantly there.

That is a rather poorly informed opinion and geographical knowledge of Washington state, nearly half of Washington's land mass gets under 20 inches of rain in a year (semi-arid desert is either beloe 15 inches or 20 inches of rain in a year). Where i live this year to date we have gotten a grand total of 6.28 inches of precepitation (a desert area sometimes consiered semi arid) and I live closer to Oregon than I do Idaho. My home is roughly 2 hours from the Idaho border if I go in a straight line (not really how I get to Idaho) where as I live 40 minutes from or so from the Oregon boarder.
Does that image show you more of what WA looks like for rain? I happen to live in the red spotch

I'm well aware that much of Washington is rather dry, due, I believe, to the Cascades.
However, I don't find that as funny as playing off the outsider view of Washingon as somewhere it always rains.
Its been intended to be fairly tongue-in-cheek

Oh and yes you are correct the main reason for lack of rain is due to the cascade mountains blocking much of the moisture laden clouds. Generally if we get rain is comes up from oregon or down from Canada
