Star Wars animation! Or not so much. Just still no caring for how the 2D Clone Wars cartoon has been translated to this 3D animation style. But, nonetheless, here is the longer trailer. Get it until it's gone.

I was a little unsure about the animation style at first, being that I loved the original Clone Wars, but after seeing this trailer, I am so PSYCHED for this show. Bring it on! (Let the cheerleading movie references follow).

The animation just seems to inconsistent. Sometimes it'll look TOY STORY good and the next it'll look like the THE SIMS. Nervously anticipating.

Yeah I don't think this is fully rendered. Look at Asajj's saber it is yellow in this trailer. There are distinct differences between this one and the officially released one.

It kind of looks like the Beowulf trailer crap that was released really early. That looked crappy, but the actual released animation was pretty awesome. They better make Asajj's sabers red.

It's not the rendering that's a problem for me, it's the style. I'm sure I'll get used to it though. Why couldn't this be stories between IV and V of the Empire and Rebels? Isn't that what we really want? And can we just have a movie called Clone Balls already?
But, stop being in denial. I'll bet money that those are fully rendered shots. And Asajj's sabers are red, it's just screwed up by the horrible video resolution and color correction. If you look at the scene where she's fighting Obiwan with both sabers, it's more evident that they're red.
I do look forward to the actual trailer because it will look much better if only for the resolution and correct colors.
And I will have to say after even watching this crappy trailer, I have to say I'm pretty excited about it. Probably just the swell of Williams' music though. It always gets me.
I just have to say, as good as the CGI animation was, Jolie was the only draw for that film, and I kept wanting to hit the reset button on the console so I could start the game I felt I was looking at over with a better staff of writers.

HD version is out. Yes, it was all fully rendered. But now you can see that it is really beautiful. Except for those darn hard edges. Just can't like those. And the "dead" eyes Obi Wan has. But I'm definitely digging it more.

A few things I noticed.
- Looks like we have some sort of pre-Imperial officers in the preview
- Anakin does already have the scars around his right eye
- Yes, Asajj has a bit of a different look, but her sabers are still red.
- You can tell that Anakin's padawan (just don't like that part of it yet) is actually on top of that AT-TE as it's ascending up the side of whatever
All in all, pretty cool stuff.

Ok, this newest trailer should get everyone excited who isn't. I think I'm even used to the animation now. Except Dooku. He looks like someone tried to shove him headfirst into a bottle.
