This is to everyone in the club...

Congratulations on you all for making a great fanfilm (and possibly the longest) that already many other people besides us are enjoying! applause

Some of you may know I had a small part to do with making the Fanboy movie and I want to say thank you for all the support and for wading through all my BS at times. I hope everyone thinks that with the involvement I had, that I made the right decisions and did everything I could, taking everyone's input and advice, into making this film the best it could be.

I want to thank everyone. There have been the worst of times and the best of times. I know I have been difficult to deal with at times, although sometimes it was necessary, but I've had many difficulties to deal with not pertaining to the film. And no one ever said making this movie would be easy. It became pretty much more than I could bear when it went from something we were just going to be posting on Youtube, to a feature film. I wasn't prepared for that. But I do love all you guys and this has been some definite Wonder Years.

I greatly apologize for those I disappointed when I wasn't able to get it finished for Cape. Even before I took a week off of work to help give me time to work on it, I thought for sure I could have it done. Besides the effects and audio, I didn't feel I had much more to do. But a couple weeks before Cape Con, I realized just how much work was left. The audio was taking forever to get right and my computer was just not up to the power I needed. Putting it all together turned out to take a lot more time than I could have imagined. So I feel I did fail on that event. Then I didn't know how to face you guys if I wasn't able to deliver when I end up doing many changes that I and several others agreed needed done in time for OMG. Then when I did have it ready, my daughter getting sick made me late again and I felt even worse. I just hope you all know I have tried my best when I was faced with challenges I didn't know I'd be facing. I thank all of you for your understanding.

I especially want to thank Bower for keeping things organized and bringing everyone together, when, at times, everyone was tired of it and ready to move on to something else. I know we all wanted the film done and, yes, it blew completely out of proportion to what we initially intended. And I forgive anyone who tried to push me past my limits happy which means I'm having to forgive myself as well.

I hope everyone thinks it was worth it, enjoys the film, and looks back on this time and this movie with some fond memories. I know I will.

Now, do I wish we had started off with the intention of making a feature length movie, so we could have been better prepared, better organized, and had better video and audio (I hate doing audio) equipment? Of course. But i think it turned out great and looks as well as any other fanfilm at least and perhaps better than some independent films. I hope everyone agrees.

I just hope everyone is pleased.

I know most of the movie is about the performances and the effects now, and the locations, locations, locations, but I do hope my efforts shine through a bit. But I am only one man.

So again, thanks to everyone. I want the performers, Bower, Barbie, Ed, Darrell, Mike, BJ, Bubba, TK Chris, and everyone else to know they went above and beyond the call of duty as well as all the extras. Thanks for all the help from Josh and Mike, the artwork from Wil that got us all excited to finish this movie, for Rena for taking all my crap while at the same time keeping me uplifted, and just everyone else for everything you did. I will forever be grateful and you have and shall forever be... my great friends.

Perhaps this thing got too big for me to handle, along with everything else in my personal life and work I've had to deal with. But sith happens. And sometimes stress gets the best of me. All I can ask is understanding from you guys. I was ill prepared for what this was to become. Just know I'm proud of the film, for all the marketing efforts, and for all the work and time everyone has spent. And, again, I'm sorry I wasn't always able to handle the pressure. Heck, the last several times most of you have seen me I've been so exhausted and out of it I was barely functioning. lol

And so it goes.

I hope to see you all at the Maiden. I feel you all have something to be excited about. I know I am.

Go Fanboy!

(yes, I did edit this. I didn't feel I had said enough nor gave enough credit to other people when i wrote it the first time.)

Lol, those would be excellent sequels, but are you crazy! Its back to shorts for us, after a long break that is. I would like to second Sithmonger in thanking are wonderful cast and crew for not only for making a great movie but for putting up with my constant hounding for shooting and taking your every spare free moment for a solid year. I know we have all wanted to give up many times, myself included, but I am so glad we didn't. We made an awesome movie with many unique elements, one that I think will be around our little hobby for years to come.
The end is sort of bittersweet for me. I wanted to be done with this for so long and now I want the two weeks leading up to Maiden to slow down and try and enjoy them, but alas, I know they will fly by. I would like to thank Tilford for all the hard work he has put into this film. The hundreds of hours, vacation time and money he has sacrificed for this endevor is unequaled. Tilford led a crack FX crew that would have made ILM proud, and that pulled off some amazing effects, so thanks to Josh and Mike for thier amazing work as well. I wish we had better equipment as well while making this movie, but the end result was fantastic.
Bubba, sweet bubba, lol, you made me lose even more hair thru out the shoot, if thats possible, lol, with your ever changing accent and intensity. But I was wrong, you and Mike, our esteemed emperor, steal the show, so kudos guys, nice work.
And thank you to our lovely leading lady Barbie, who is the real glue that held this movie together. Not only does she deliver a wonderful performance, but she was always the level headed one when I was ready to quit. And lets not underestimate the sex appeal she brings to the flick, just check out all the internet stalkers she has aquired, lol, did you summone meee?, lmao. And of course she and BJ have made pretty much all the merch for the film, making it a true Star Wars movie. Our resident con arteest Wil Woods helped as well by providing all the genious art the merch is based off of.
I also wanted to say that I'm sorry if this project hurt our club in any way. I know with so many of our members time and energy being devoted to this that we have let normal club functions go astray, and for that I am truly sorry. We will be getting back on track soon enough.
So again, thank you guys so much for your devotion to this project. We have one of the greatest and most talented bunch of people ever to assemble a fan force, thanks guys! pv

No, not crazy. Just sarcastic. I suppose if one was a masochist and enjoyed slow torture of dancing on hot coals while herding cats, you might try helming one of these again.

Shorts are where you guys do shine. I don't know how many folks I've shown the Troopers Day Tanning bit that crack up when they see that.

But who knows where this film is going to take you once it is released to the general public via Youtube. We may not know just how badly we have been bitten by the bug of the creative process of making fanfilms, especially since it is being so well received. Time to detox may be all the medicine needed before inspiration or public pressure trip the wire for you to do something even greater than Fanboy. For a Fanfilm - this may be the first feature-length one out there and in my humble opinion, ranks right up there with Rubio's Troops. There's nothing like this out there. Any collector, con-goer and Lucasfilm fan is going to love this film.

But we already know that, because that's what we are in the first place.

Sometimes the best comedy are those bits that are created to amuse the film makers themselves. I remember Mel Blanc in an interview stating that the best Bugs Bunny cartoons were written to amuse the creators themselves. The process to make these was not amusing - but now, looking back you see the results of all the efforts, and it is excellent to hear so much laughter out of the crowd and see the smiles of admiration when they recognize the homages paid to all of our favorite movies.

Great job hardly does the sentiment justice.

This movie rocks! Is probably better.

I meant to thank you for the sentiments Bower. It means a lot. Hopefully at Maiden you can relax and enjoy it, knowing where all your efforts went!
