 Subjugator, that's why I asked. The banners for this board have to be in .jpg format. If there was a way you could've done a .jpg that would look good *and* be a small file, then yes, animated would be great. Unfortunately, we're only aware of being able to do .jpg stuff at the moment. I'll double check, though, and see if we could do a .gif.
Night, that's a great banner! Only problem, the words are a bit hard to read against the background. Maybe do a drop shadow, or even a glow of "holiness" (as Lobot_Omy put it on the Icon thread).  Thanks for the contribution! (btw, where are you from?)

i asked int he other thread, but i might as well ask here too, do you mind me hanging around you board? I can leave if you want to keep it more for the Peonix Peeps.

I'm not from Phoenix, so you can totally ignore this if you'd like, but I have an idea (famous last words  )...
Phoenix is a hot place, much like Tattoine. Phoenix is also a legendary bird that doesn't really exist, much like a mirage. Perhaps you could be called, The Phoenix Mirage - Relief from the Tatooine Suns, or something to that effect.
Kind of simple, really, but it might work, if ppl were interested. Of course if nobody likes the idea that is ok too.
Good luck with your banner. I was so happy when we got ours. Then for our website, Vader2000 modified it a tad. I love the little MPLS skyline that was included.

I think a cool banner would be to find that shot of Obi-Wan and Luke standing on the cliff looking at a distant Mos Eisley, then replace the spaceport with the downtown Phoenix skyline. You could have the line 'you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villiany...we must be cautious' and 'Phoenix FanForce' below that. Maybe even superimpose 2 suns in the sky to match Tatooine. Just a thought.

Bria, I like your idea - the only thing is that "The Phoenix Mirage" sounds like a casino name. **grin** Not a bad thing, no, but unless we go out to the Indian reservations, or over to Vegas, we can't gamble. (I don't know how well gambling would fly with our under-age members - and their parents -, either)
Personally, I've thought about incorporating the Phoenix City logo (it's a phoenix bird) with either the Imperial logo, Rebel logo or both (if it's not too busy) for our FF symbol. Anyone?
Gavin, I'm really liking your idea.  See if you can pull it off.

Hey, you only have to be 18 to gamble at some of the Indian Reservations. I went with a couple of friends once right after High School graduation. (I'll never go back, but at least I can say I've been gambling)

k! i shall! thanks for letting me hang around. I don't know if there is a Jersey board, but i do hang out in the New York Board, which you are all welcome to visit anytime. I also hang out in Western Australia, and now Minnesota! hehe You guys are cool though
i'm still looking for that specific frame from the movie too, if anyone has it, tell me so i can stop browsing in 6 browsers at once

Kreleia or Elan-Rai, is there any chance theforce.net could provide us with that image for my banner idea? They seem to have a ton of Star Wars related imagery archived for use throughout the site. I'm sure I've seen that umm... scene (please allow myself to introduce... myself) in print somewhere but I'm not having any luck tracking it down. Thanks. As far as I can tell Night4554 hasn't found it online yet either.
And PS. I think your logo idea's pretty great.
