 Gavin, y'know, I don't have the slightest clue. I'm sure TF.N has it somewhere, but I wouldn't even know where to begin when contacting someone. Elan-Rai, ideas?
I've always thought that the Phoenix city logo looks like the Rebel insignia too. **grin** I remember the first time I saw it (when we moved down), I had to do a big ol' double-take. 
(that's scanned from a Basha's grocery bag. I'm still working on cleaning it up a bit before actually messing with it - it's got that funky dark outline that really bugs me.)

You're welcome! I'm someone who usually has multiple browsers windows open too.  It's really embarrassing when you post something to the wrong thread!  Thankfully I've only done that once and I caught it right away.

Geesh you miss a little you miss a lot here anymore. Wow, those are some nice banners. I do have one I'm working on, but I think I'll scrap it and do a new one using some of these ideas. The Phoenix logo idea is great. I've been trying to do something with the grand canyon as that screams AZ to me, but we'll see...

What do you all think? Personally I think kreleia or Bria should do it, they make excellent icons

There wasn't anything there... I'm thinking maybe you can't directly link, but I'm not sure... ?:| Nope, I just can't see it. I think it needs to be *on* your page... perhaps you could create a page just for the banner? you know, like banner.html and put the pic on the page...?

Oh, of course it'd be with a 'C'. One of those crazy English rules.  Thanks! The name is cool... sounds really European too.
Anyway... pretty good banner, Emperor_Dan. Much better than what I'd make my first time around. I do have a few suggestions though... work on making the images blend together more. I can see the outlines of where they all were added. Other than that, I think it's great.

Emperor Dan, that looks really good! Yeah, except for the Phoenix mis-spelling. (at least you noticed, right?) I'd try blending the images together a bit more, too - maybe use the mask filter to blur the lines. Other than that, I like it! It's a good look for our desert theme!
Yeah, I believe "Phoenician" is the correct term. Although, officially, I'm a Chandler-ite. **laugh** But that's okay - our freeways are starting to do a much better job of connecting this sprawling desert city-scape we call home.

Wow, thats pretty cool. Nice job.
Well here it is, my second attempt at the banner. It still needs a bit of touching up and it'd be nice to know what we're calling ourselves, but here it is anyway.
