heh. Yeah, poor me. **snort** My day wasn't completely without SW costume reference - I actually picked up a different pattern for Thrawn's jacket. I just could not get the damn thing to work with the other one I have. This pattern comes highly recommended by one of the costuming goddesses over in the C&P forum, though. Progress should now start happening.

Jupiter & I couldn't get ahold of anyone, so we went on our own. We both have our saber parts, and if anyone needs any recommendations, or part #'s let me know before next weekend.
I'm also good at design and fabrication, so if anyone needs help or ideas, I'm available.

I agree. I definitely missed hanging with everyone.  And I won't be able to do the construction party this weekend either - my mother-in-law will be in town. And, for as cool as she is (and I'm not just saying that, she really *is* cool), SW and sabers just aren't her cup of tea. **sigh** Which, of course, is why I've already been working on Thrawn today. ^.^

Kreleia, two weeks with out PFF! How are you going to cope? Since Kreleia can't make it are we going to have a seamstress there at all. I was planning on doing some sewing but I am new to sewing and would like to be supervised by someone with some sewing skills.

this chunk from denver. I was going to make a saber from the big yellow box but when I went to lowes they didnt have anything I needed, well about half of what I needed. so I just got crazy with my own ideas. its about half done now and looking fairly good for a first shot at building one and not having directions. but if anybody has any questions feel free to pm about them.

Here are directions to Jessica’s house for the construction party on Saturday:
Get yourself to I-60.
Take I-60 East to Crismon Rd.
Go South (right) on Crismon.
Go straight though the intersection at Baseline.
Turn West (right) on Madero Ave.
Turn South (left) on Neville (you actually go right around a weird circular intersection, and end up going south. You’ll understand when you see it).
Take the next left (I don’t know the name).
Take the next right onto Sorelle.
Follow the street around a lefthand curve, and take an immediate right. (this is a short street that ends in a T-junction with Navarro).
Go left (East) on Navarro.
The house is on the left (North) side.
Congrats, you’re there.

BTW, don’t go to Mapquest for directions, because they are different and even more confusing, and half the streets aren’t labeled anyways.
