This should be a great preview before the tv series comes out. I believe the theatrical release is about 100 minutes. I'm excited.

I'm in to go see the film, but I'm confused about continuity . . . if Anakin had a padawan, then the whole 'council refuses the title of Master' makes no sense at all. Grrrrr.

IIRC, You are granted the rank of Master for SUCCESSFULLY training a Padawan to knighthood...and given that the Prequels are all about tradegy, I'm betting 15 credits that Ani's Padawan doesn't survive the Clone Wars, hence no Master Status.

But Obi-Wan was refered to as "master Kenobi" by Yoda, when he went to ask about the missing planet and he had not yet sucessfully trained a padawan to knighthood.
And yeah, you know nothing good is going to happen to poor little chickie.

I think being a Master doesn't have much to do with your training of a padawan. I think it has more to do with your all around skills: Maturity, Wisdom, Knowledge of the Force, Field expierience, Saber fighting ability, ect. Kind of how when you were a kid and wanted to stay home alone but your parents would say not until you are ready. Then one day when they felt you were old enough and mature enough they said ok, You're ready now. I think it's the same way with the counsel/jedi knight. Because remember that Qui-Gon Jinn's first apprentice fell to the darkside prior to completing his training but yet Qui-Gon was a Master when he was training Obi-Wan.

I think the Jedi Council just doesn't have their stuff together. They need to come up with a Master/Apprentice policy to avoid these sorts of problems. If SWAP can do it, so can they!
