Geek summit

We have discussed something similar to this several times. Here's trying to get it to happen again. . .
What if we pick a date, and invite the various local fandoms to go out to dinner with us? BSG, Browncoats, Trek, the SW Yahoo group? We could pick a restaurant or a bookstore's cafe or at a movie. Talk with them about doing more multifandom outings and gatherings.
What do you all say? Sound interesting?

I'm up for it but experience has shown it can be hard to get our two groups together. Everybody is either working or broke at the time. My life has been nothing but school and home lately. I could sure use some fun. Problem is with school I haven't had much time to make extra cash so that kind of limits the possibilities for fun.

There's always free things to do. Ross runs free movies in the park, and it's not too expensive to just go bowling or something.

the Dagorhir group that i'm in might be interested in that, although, they are also mostly broke college kids too. but, i'll mention it to them.

We will not go any place pricey. Maybe a bookstore cafe. Someplace we can all meet, get to know each other, and maybe make plans for more outings. Like movie nights or bowling or Science Center Lazer shows . . .
