The first time I saw it I was dissapointed but I think I had my standards set high. The second time around I was pleasantly amused and I think this movie is alot of fun.

I may see it again. I saw it in Wisconsin, and thought it was a little "meh". I try to see movies like this twice to see if they grow on me at all.

I liked most of it, except for the cheesy tarzan vine swinging part.

For the most part, I enjoyed it for what it was; a film that was meant to mimick cheesy early television and film adventure stories. After all, that's where Lucas got his inspiration in the first place.

I loved it! I thought it had all the elements of the other Indy movies and was outstandingly written. I feel some people were turned off by the whole alien scenario, But I felt it tied in nicely with the whole Myan Lore. 2 thumbs up.

I wasn't turned off by the out-of-this-world'ness of things. I was a little turned off by the writing...
In this flick we see an older Indy, but still an active Indy. Hardly the crusty ol guy with a walker
we joked about before the release...
BUT, in all of the previous flicks, we saw Indy as a real kinda guy. A guy who recognized danger,
and ran from it. He wasn't protrayed as a kind of Arnold-like bullet-proof action-hero.
In this respect, he was like US, and he seemed more real-life.
In KOTCS though, the Indy character seemed a little too smarmy to me. When the bad guys are holding
20 machine-guns on Indy, it just doesn't seem right that Indy is cracking back at them that he's gonna
'make em pay'. After all, if Indy himself doesn't feel threatened by his predicament, why should
the audience?
The bit with Mutt and Marion should have been a much more powerfull (and comic) force to drive the
storyline. (similar to that which underlied GRAIL). Instead, we see (and learn) that the Mutt/Marion
thing was an afterthought that they tried to shoehorn into the story afterwards. Sadly, it was too
obvious that this is what they did.
I liked the many callbacks to the earlier films and the TV episodes (which Im not sure many caught).
Overall, I liked it. I do wonder why they left the TV on in the home about to be vaporized by the
bomb? Still, Indy was lucky the fridge was there to save him. I saw Arnold do the same
trick in one of his movies. (but without the prairie-dog ;-) )
