Dark is always fun! Just not in the title Of course, I expected the Dark Times to be filled with bright colors and Hello Kitty.

 

Looks like this is delayed until november

I think I may just go mad trying to figure out how many throne rooms Palpatine has and where they are.

Well done. This is simple but effective art, colourful and 3D. Heretical use of camera angles, from an anti-creative-fan's pov, if you're one, like the out of office shot.

Comics this good make TPBs even lightyears further . . . sigh.

My favorite serie after republic has arrived!!!! Looks great!!
It looks like this serie is more suited for emotional story telling than Legacy.

I am really not interested in another story of redemption, betrayal, revenge, jedi fighting to restore honor. Is it me, or am I finally growing out of star wars?

 

Is it me, Vong, or have you not read the series? It seems a little early in the game to be deciding you know where this story is going.

In fact, I wager that all of you who do read it will be surprised at where it ends up!

And for the one who doesn't want to have another story of redemption, wait this totally different......this goes much deeper than Legacy and Kotor.
This is Democratie turning into Dictature and Vader turning to what he is in IV.
I think darktimes will be essential for every star wars fan who wants to fully inderstand the emotional undertone of the movies, you can see darktimes together with rebellion, republic, empire as the tools for telling the main story, they are essential.

 

Is it just me, or does this tower look a little like a refurbished Senate Apartment Complex, as used by Padmé in AotC and RotS? Probably not, and I don't think it was that close to the Senate, but that would be an effective bit of psychological torture from Palpatine to his new apprentice. 'Course, that apartment also apparently appears, untouched, in Empire: The Savage Heart, as of 0 ABY, so... *shrug*

 

For Palp's throne room we used the description of it from Jim Luceno's "Dark Lord" and got LF to sign off on the design.

 

Interesting. I was under the impression DL's throne room was located in the EmPalSuRecon Center, since it's described in the novel as the tallest building on Coruscant; then in the next chapter, the EmpPalSuRecon is given the same description...

 

Given thre great cinematic angles just in that preview page, I'd say that this would already work great as the TV series
