With so many EU haters out there and EP 7 announced, Canon Wars have reignited. Those who love the EU as part of the Saga itself should come together in a coalition when debating and encouraging Disney to include the EU, perhaps not as it is but as it should be.

    First, we need a name...
    Second, we need a platform...
Third, once we have a name, include that in your signature box... Until then, I am simply including "I Support the EU"

This will not be a group like in the roleplaying sections with names and titles, rather a loose confederacy of friends and strangers who have the same similar views as to the direction of Star Wars to fill in the blank spots with events from the EU.

I've always hated the word haters. Anyhow, what EU haters? I think there are more EU ignorers than haters.

Eu haters want it destroyed to make room for EP VII, even though we can have both...

It's unthinkable! There hasn't been a full-scale Canon War since the prequels.

I don't know. I am not in charge. We will not have ranks or order, aside from the one directly under our names of course lol. The more active forum people will naturally take the lead, when they drift off a new crew will rise to hold the mantle, just like the protagonists of the OT and soon to be ST!

With Lucas out of the stakes, look like we're not fighting the same enemy anymore, are we?

Lucas was never the enemy. Granted he had his own dislike for the EU (despite how it helped to fund his other companies), however the hardliners who still follow his EU isn't Star Wars are. The prize to the victor goes the Sequel trilogy. Is there any way aside from an easily ignored petition that we can get our point through to Disney

I suppose if literally everyone stopped buying EU products right now, perhaps the people in charge will connect that to the upcoming movie and decide to appease EU fans by making the ST EU friendly in order to keep their consumer base.

Good luck, you're gonna need it.

Pictures of Magic Mountain, Photoshop captioned with "The Evil Empire", perhaps?

Posted on Facebook with the privacy settings as wide open (for that and/or any subsequent propaganda photo) as possible?

Perhaps, it depends on if they make the connection between the tanking sales and the upcoming canon disaster.

If they, in this scenario that will never happen, believed they could replace their entire EU customer base, they'd be wrong. They'd either have to capitulate or shut down EU operations entirely.

This is just my way of saying there's nothing any of us can do.

Also, I am definitely not in.

I think I might love you. I have been wanting people to stand up to the depressing haters for awhile now. Or it could be that I am imagining.g you as Corran Horn because of your icon.

I am most definitely in. As I've commented in a number of threads, it is perfectly possible for the entire EU to sit quite nicely alongside the ST, if people would drop their insane "if it didn't happen on-screen, it didn't happen" diatribe. It worked in 1977 - not everything had to be spelled out for the movie to make sense, and to be great.
