The first there was a special episode to say the least. I guess this still goes in the unpopular opinions thread. I was impressed by how deep SDITV was. Its like a Salvador Dali painting. Whimsical, creepy, deep.

Deep is right. I know people hate the episode but as much as people pretend that some other arcs pose more relevant questions but when was the last time a character asked himself and questioned himself if he or she was not already dead and everything that was happening is just limbo.
That scene for me was a great scene.

While I definitely enjoyed 'A Sunny Day In The Void', I think 'Mercy Mission' is better; I really liked how it felt like an episode of the old Droids cartoon.

I completely agree. I think a few select TCW episodes make a much better lead-in to Ep. III than Ep. I and Ep. II, and sometimes I even think certain TCW episodes/arcs make a better lead-in to the OT than any of the PT. It also works out that in that scenario, Luke's father would remain something of a mystery until Ep. V which I think is pretty cool.

Two Star Wars trilogies and a third on the way?

Bah humbug! There's only a Star Wars Quadrilogy in existence right now: TCW, ROTS, ANH and TESB. /jk

This thread is indeed a pathway to many opinions some consider to be unpopular. ;)

Star Wars Quadrilogy!? You also not consider episodes 1,2 and 6 that good?! ;)

Not on the same level as the aforementioned four, at least, though they're enjoyable enough. ;)

OH YES! I concur... I mean if you ask me... if you ask me...

Star Wars (and I know this is unpopular opinion) is from the moment in AOTC Obi-Wan sneaks up on the Separatists council through the TCW (movie and series), through ROTS (which is great movie) through ANH to the moment in TESB where Luke and Leia look over the galaxy and Lando flies off. That is it for me. EWOKS do not exist!

LOL, I'm past the point of caring whether people like PT Anakin; the only time I get into it anymore is when they state their opinion as fact--a phenomenon that gets on my nerves no matter what the specific opinion is. (And you didn't do that here.)

Speaking of which--if someone likes an episode, it is a good episode--to them. I thought Sunny Day in the Void sucked on multiple levels but if someone else likes it...*shrugs*. Not up to me to say they aren't allowed to think it's good.

I think Ewoks should be in TCW. Zombie ones loaded with mother Talzin's magic green mist. Mow the little ******* down!

Oh yeah, me too. I'm liking this Droid arc more than the R2-D2 and C-3PO episodes, maybe because I'm so use to seeing them in TCW, whereas these Droids (except for R2-D2) are all a new and have some unique characteristics, especially WAC-47 :D

I like WAC-47. He reminds me of myself. I thought he developed very well in Void. I think what makes Void so much better to me is rather than just being campy fun to me its pretty deep. Immortality vs sentience.
