Discussion Bounty Hunter Ensemble Spin-off

I think an ensemble film with the group of ESB bounty hunters film would be a great idea. Something set 3 to 5 years prior to ANH. They could be brought together for a mission at the behest of Vader. ESB shows Vader has an affinity for utilizing this form of hired guns despite the long reach of the Empire's hold on the galaxy. Also, Pietts insistence that "We don't need their scum" shows a divergence in philosophy between Vader and the Empire. It would be fun to explore Vaders willingness to utilize the Bounty Hunters rather than the Empire.
Maybe this would be an opportunity to explore the "No disentigrations" comment.

 

A galactic expendables?

 

I would imagine that Boba will have playmates in his movie. I fully expect to see some IG-88, Dengar, Bossk, and others in the Boba movie..

Actually, I've said this ad nauseum but I'll say it again. Boba Fett seems HIGHLY likely to get a movie that leads into the Underworld series. In the series I fully expect to see a tonage of bounty hunters to include Greedo, Cad Bane, Aurra Sing, Debngar, Bosskk and IG88 as well as others.

 

As long as it includes Aurra Sing. I was disapointed she never ended up getting a bigger role in the prequels after all that post-TPM hype.

 

I'm cool with this, I like Cad Bane, Boba Fett, Embo, IG-88, and Bossk.

Just please no Dengar.

 

Maybe some EU bounty hunters, like Skorr and Furlag.

 

The Clone Wars season 4 had an episode with exactly what you say .....it had Dengar , Bossk & Boba teaming up it was one of the better episodes .

 

There will be others but they will all bow to Boba Fett !!

Whilst the idea of this doesn't necessarily excite me particularly, I can see this happening.

 

I would love to see a bounty hunters film where the group of BH's try to out do each other to get the prize, but it would be kinda odd if Boba Fett wasn't in that one, and even more so if he didn't win.........

I agree with both of these, I'd rather see a royal rumble than a tag team match.

While a film such as the one described by the OP would be welcome, I'd rather the picture be set post-ROTJ. Watching as Boba emerges from the Sarlaac, regains his strength and then consolidates his power in the Outer Rim and the Coruscant Underworld sounds like a premise I'd be very much in favor of. With the added weight of the political intrigue surrounding the genesis of the New Republic, the Imperial remnant and the vacuum created in the underworld as a result of the death of Jabba the Hutt, there would be an awful lot more at stake than just bounty hunting for the writers to draw from in support of a story the length of a feature film.

Now, to me, the type of film I've described above just wouln't be complete without the cast of boutny hunters and underground figures so many of us have grown to love.

 

Nah, just give Bossk his own film.

 

Maybe set it like Snatch... A bunch of different groups screwing each other up until one team ends up getting lucky.

 

I'd love a ensemble film of the TESB bounty hunters, as long as it features Bossk.
