Guys need to chill. Its sad that the Dark Horse era is over, but this could mean great things for the brand. It really needs a shake up. They just need to wrap up Star Woods and Legacy 2.

And maybe this means we won't be getting any more Darth Vader And The [Adjective] [Noun] novels :p

So do I, when it's a likely improvement. Change solely for its own sake, or likely to be for the worse, not so much.

Oh man, what a disappointment (for me at least). DH published excellent SW comics. All I ask from the people in charge: wrap up Dark Times, Legacy and DOTJ. Oh, and is it too much to ask for one last adventure from Zayne and friends?

Actually, what are the chances for Marvel to continue with any current SW series? Also, is there any chance for JJM, Jon, Jan, Randy, Doug and the rest who worked on SW for so long to continue on Marvel's SW? If there is a chance for that, then I wouldn't worry about the quality of the comics.

    Is that a bad thing?

Seems like Star Wars has been trending downhill pretty consistently since, what, 2006, 2007, 2008?

Since 2006 we got KOTOR, Legacy, DT, DOTJ, DV and the Ghost Prison, Vector, The Star Wars, Knight Errant and many more. So not going downhill at all IMO.

But now Dark Horse doesn't have the license for the future, and those were all Dark Horse!

This is part of the downward spiral!

Ugh, I'm not too happy with this change. I haven't read many comics, but I liked what Dark Horse did. From what I have heard of the old Marvel comics, they seemed more cartoony and their plots seemed unnapealing. Not that I have actually read any, but going by what I knew, they never interested me. The Dark Horse ones, on the other hand, did grab my attention. Maybe, this round of Marvel comics will be different; still it makes me nervous.

I think it's pretty safe to say that this will be when they wipe the slate clean and reboot the entire EU to align with Episode VII. They'll have a year of buildup before it comes out.

For everyone complaining that the Marvel series was too cartoony and childish, keep in mind that it was 35 years ago. ALL comics were childish and cartoony.

I think that had more to do with it being late 70s-80s than Marvel itself :p Also, SW was pretty new as a brand and the feel of the universe hadn't really been established. All that said, I'm (as of now) in the "bring back DH" camp.
