I wonder if the sourcebook writers picked the name "Jizz" without knowing its particular meaning.

 

It has multiple meanings. Birdwatchers use it as a term for the general look of a bird:

When I first started hanging out in the TFN fanfiction archive (I've never been able to wrap my head around the forum proper for some reason) I was too young to properly understand what the implications of this rule were. Now, however, I get it. I think this is a problem that most people have - it's not an aversion to homosexuality or LGBTQI issues, it's just a kind of malice-free blindness. Straightness (and whiteness, maleness etc) is the background radiation of the fandom and people usually need a pretty big kick up the posterior to notice it.

I expect situations like TFN's will become more and more egregious as time goes on and new and younger SW fans who don't have that kind of blindness start coming through.

Edit: which is certainly not to disrespect TFN, I really do like it here, much better than my old Star Wars home.

 

The problem with TFN is it's a corporate entity wholly owned by one dude, who can impose whatever rules he wants. I don't see how that will ever change; I think he'd rather just drag the site with him into irrelevancy than change with the times.

I don't think I implied that it would change. Merely that its... old-fashionedness, to put it politely, would become more of a sticking point for more people.
