It does look great. I am also glad that Fi is in it too.

About 2 months to go before it comes out!

Some brief comments by Miyamoto on the next Zelda and the series overall:

"This term ["open world"] means that there is a large world in which players can do numerous things daily. In the traditional “The Legend of Zelda” series, the player would play one dungeon at a time. For example, if there are eight dungeons, at the fourth dungeon, some players may think, “I’m already halfway through the game,” while other players may think, “I still have half of the game to play.” We are trying to gradually break down such mechanism and develop a game style in which you can enjoy “The Legend of Zelda” freely in a vast world, whenever you find the time to do so."

Miyamoto then made it clear that A Link Between Worlds was a checkpoint for them to evolve the series' structure:

"We created the games in the traditional “The Legend of Zelda” series in steps that players could easily understand and follow; the player would obtain a new item in each dungeon, use the item to clear that dungeon and be able to enjoy applying the items in different ways after acquiring about eight items. However, in “The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds,” we broke that down and let the player rent different items from the beginning, so the player could use different combinations of items. In this way, we are gradually changing the structure of “The Legend of Zelda” series, and we are preparing to newly evolve the series for Wii U."

That tornado attack may just be the most enjoyable attack yet. "Say hello to Dorithy for me!"

And Fi is just opening up the possibility if so many puns. "Get my point?"

    It looks that way…

They also revealed 3 more characters:
    -Shiek
    -Princess Ruto
    -Darunia

Wonder if that means there be OoT skins for characters too.

Wow, they're really going all out with the female character representation in this game, aren't they?

Playing as Goron should be quite fun.

Do the DW games usually have such a wide variety of characters? I think the roster is really going to help keep the game fresh/replayable.

I remember hearing that DW games usually have a large cast of characters to play as.

I am loving the revamp OoT designs. Especially Princess Ruto.

The link also shows off some OoT themed levels. Death Mountain and Lake Hylia.

With all these recent theme announcements, from Twilight, Skyward and now Ocarina… I wonder if we will get Link to the Past or Wind Waker themes or characters.

Well Zelda has the Wind Waker weapon, that's probably the furthest they'll go as far as TWW stuff goes, not counting redesigned outfit skins

Yeah, we still got a bit over a month before it comes out so anything is possible and they might have packs to download after release to add more missions/characters/skins. I find it funny how they have ocarina tunes going off when the Wind Waker is in use.

    For now, we got this

I guess Lana using Deku Trees in her attacks pretty much rules out Saria being playable.

Hyrule Warriors Nintendo Direct hitting tonight at 11PM EST/8PM PST.

EDIT- Ganon confirmed, as well as a Demon King costume set for Club Nintendo members containing his OOT/TP looks.

Various retailer pre-orders will include OOT packs, TP packs and SS packs for Link/Zelda,

Also confirmed: I'm going to play the **** out of the Adventure Mode.

The badge and skill crafting system looks to be adding some interesting depth to things- we really haven't had much leveling up in a Zelda game since Z2, AFAICR.

Pretty good Direct, nice to finally have Ganondorf confirmed as playable (sure see a lot of Demise's design in this version, no surprise as Skyward Sword is still recent), not that its a surprise.

Adventure Mode also looks quite fun, just a little bit more to go.

Why is she using Saria's Song for a Tornado attack? Wouldn't the Song of Storms or Ballad of Gales be more appropriate?
