Your first image in your opening post didn't show up for some reason, even though you did the markup codes properly, but glad that your new batch has worked and they do look great. The one of Artoo looks almost like a production photo taken from the Tantive IV set.

Which programs do you use to sculpt the models?

I work in 3dsmax, using the iRay render system with post work in Photoshop

 

I've been meaning to try 3DSMax. I've done Lightwave before and Maya. They are looking great and you've been doing the lighting and textures quite well too.

I also had a look at your art station page and you have quite a few nice works on there. I also loved that you included the WIP for the Lambda-class Shuttle.

Another piece done, this time using Alain Rivard's amazing Falcon model (I am currently converting it to 3dsmax and rendering in iRay)

Another piece, was aiming for a painted look (painted the background and rendered out the Falcon, and did post paint touch ups and worked with layers and filters to try and achieve a painted look).

Ooo…. that turned out quite nice. Looks like she is passing through a nebula or the atmosphere of a gas giant.

 

Thanks, and yeah I wanted to use colours you do not tend to see in Starwars, and was heavily influenced by the ESB hand painted posters

Nicely laid out composition.

Definitely got the feel of the Tatooine desert locked down and the dynamic angle of the TIE feels like it is about to dive into a sandstorm.

A quick low res animation test of R2 in action

 

This is a concept for a new piece I am working on; - R2 revisits an old friend

I plan to come back and paint in the lower details (currently using a screengrab composited in for the creature and water), I will also be adding trees and the likes from the Swamp on Dagobah behind R2.
