I'm fine with it. At least it wasn't Han Solo.

    Great for Indy![face_party]

I never get why Luke Skywalker never makes any top ten list. He's easily my favorite character in fiction and Mark Hamill was/is perfect in the role. [face_dunno]

At least Joker is on the list and Mark's version is my favorite.:D

i think he was also above Bond in an AFI poll a few years ago . My feeling is if there were 20 Indy movies with verying success and actors it would take the shine off.

Not a bad choice by any means. At least we didn't get something obvious like Darth Vader.

Here are all the Lucasfilm characters to appear on the list. Pretty damn impressive for Lucasfilm, Lucas, Spielberg, Ford, and all the actors and talented people responsible for bringing these characters to life.

    01. Indiana Jones
    03. Han Solo
    09. Darth Vader
    38. Yoda
    50. Luke Skywalker
    51. Obi-Wan Kenobi

This is a silly list. I love Indiana Jones, but obviously Graham Chapman's King Arthur is the best film character of all time. Of all time.

And John Cleese's Sir Lancelot is #2, (says the guy in the armor suit).

I also don't fully agree with the list, but I'm very glad to see that so many great Lucasfilm characters made it on the list!
Indiana Jones is one of my favorite movie characters of all time, definitely happy to see him take the No. 1 spot.

(by the way, I'm very surprised to see that Norman Bates isn't on the list. In my opinion, he also worthy of a spot in the Top 10)

What's wrong with Han Solo? I'm suprised to hear something negative about Solo from a SW fan??

    Nothing. He's just overrated.

And I'm surprised that he's so gushed over. Also, what have I said that's negative?

You said he was overrated. To each his own, but you're the first SW fan I have come across in 38 years of being a fan who actually said something like that about him?

    So?

Well, I'm not the only one who shares that sentiment. Not that it matters anyway.

You have to enjoy the PT more then the OT, because I have yet to encounter an OT fan in my life who didn't love or atleast really like Han Solo. Now I am not saying that to disparage you for liking the PT more. Han Solo was a HUGE reason why the OT branched out to non-SciFi fans like myself in the late 70's/early 80's simply because he was a relatable/cool guy and you just didn't see that in this genre. You take Han Solo out of the OT movies, and I may still enjoy the movies but wouldn't be a diehard fan like I am now. That is why JJ is smart to give Ford the biggest role of the Big 3 in TFA because he knows there are a huge amount of fans (male and female) who loved that character from 77-83.

Wrong assumption, that's not how the world works.

Exactly, you. That doesn't have to apply to others.
