This sounds really great. I hope some cool new ground and space vehicles come out of this, as well as some large scale battles. Doesn't sound like it will go into the Old Republic era, though it almost feels like a nice companion to the Battlefront:Twilight Company. I wonder if it will be mostly for ground battles, though it does mention starfighters, either way I can't wait :)

They're already doing pseudo-EGTW stuff? Nice.

Yeah I thought the same thing. I thought I was going to see Jason Fry's name on this as a consultant.

This sounds AWESOME! Started the Essential Guide To Warfare, although since most of it is noncanon now, was waiting for a new version! And this might scratch that itch! Any other info, like when it releases??

From the description, this sounds like the grunt's-eye version of the EGTW.

Yeah, but like from the opposite standpoint, I imagine - they're actively building the world.

You know for 50 bucks you'd figure they'd paint the cover.

I am interested in this, but I kind of feel like it's still too early to be releasing these kinds of things. The Guide to Warfare made sense because it had over 30 years worth of EU material to draw from. This feels like something I should avoid because it will become immediately outdated.

BUT THE PROBLEM IS I STILL WANT TO BUY IT.

Here's the source of the cover. Interestingly enough, I could only find it on Pinterest posts that are over a year old. Is this old concept art I'm not familiar with?[IMG]

I don't think you understand, it's like BobaMatt said, they're building the world instead of trying to connect separate sources 30 years later.

I imagine about 95% of this or more will concentrate on TCW, the PT, and the battles in the OT. They talk about the First Order but I doubt they will cover that much considering there will have been battles that we have never even heard of yet.

I'm not really into this stuff a great deal anyway. For me to be interested I want there to be a massive amount of content. I think I will pass on this book since there is only going to be about 128 pages. I'll start picking stuff like this up when more of the post ROTJ era starts getting filled in.

    Essential Guide to Warfare lite.

Eh. I'll pick it up if I decide to invest in two canons. Still not thrilled with that.

    This looks AMAZING! :D

So good to see our friend Dan Wallace back in the saddle for SW sourcebooks. I am positively overjoyed by this news!

Don't forget the Battle of Dreighton. I would almost want the Battle of Isis too, but there isn't really any need to flesh that out, since it was a rather small engagement.

The book sounds really interesting. I'm looking forward to it. Though $50 for just 128 pages sounds a bit expensive.
