Full Series Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Discussion (Spoilers Allowed)

He's taken better care of it than he has with his red blade. I like his priorities.

 

I'm just happy it will be in use again finally.

 

Well, Obi Wan did break it in two.

 

Maul still had one half of it which was his Saber in TCW. I think anyway.

 

Yeah.

 

Whatever happened to that original Saber? The current one is a converted Inqusitor lightsaber that he's found in his travels.

 

It might have been destroyed perhaps by a fight with an Inquistor, but that's unlikely since the Inquistors ****.

I think it was lost in his fight with Sidious. In Son of Dathomir, it's established that Death Watch only recovered the darksaber.

Probably in another mission elsewhere with the rest of the crew. Hera with the Ghost is truly the cameo that makes the most sense to me, maybe Chopper is with her too. Or could be the same model but not the Ghost.

 

There's a Hammerhead Corvette (blocked by the Rebels screenshot image) flying right next to it. Coincidence? I doubt it.

that's a bigger cameo then I thought they'd get.

 

Maul's original saber was destroyed in his duel with Sidious in Sundari. The Darksaber survived because of it's hiltguard. If you watch the duel, you'll see a point where Maul and Sidious lock blades (after Savage has been killed) and after Sidious gets the upper hand he angles his blades down and, although we don't see the actual destruction, Maul's weapons are destroyed/rendered useless. We never see Maul's original blade after the Lawless, but the Darksaber was recovered and presented to Maul after he was freed from the prison on Stygeon.

 

Here's a question: what the hell happened to Savage's lightsaber?

Probably not likely since he would've taken the Darksaber as well. Maul apparently stopped using the Darksaber and started using the captured Inquisitor blade for whatever reason, seemingly only cause his rule over Mandalore ended and its a personal choice. He apparently did not have the Darksaber while on Malachor nor did he have his Nightbrother ship and all his DW loyalists seemed dead or turned traitor but his ship was intact and safe. So presumably he stashed those away prior to going to Malachor and becoming stranded there, but all the details are sketchy as they have not really told us much if anything involving his escape(which happens off screen in Ahsoka and events leading him to Malachor). He used a lightsaber in the Ahsoka book but its never specifically mentioned what kind. Did he have a lightsaber when facing an Inquisitor, he does not need one though to destroy his enemy as not even Ahsoka needed a lightsaber to kill an Inquisitor(and she took the crystals from the 6th Brother's) but he had to have escaped Mandalore with the Darksaber as how else did it get to Dathomir by Rebels.
