You know it's like the Hotel Tatooine - you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

Tim, how was the trip to Europe?

Excellent as always. Had a lot of fun bumming around my old digs in Stuttgart, as well as the trip to Disneyland Paris. Went on Star Tours like 7 times.... in French. Missed Hyperspace Mountain by 3 days...

RIP Chris Cornell. Since I have no words of my own, I will simply use yours.

"So I blow out your candle and I put you to bed. Since you can't say to me now how the dog's broke your bone, there's just one thing left to be said: Say hello to heaven..."

    Speaking of 'other crap' ....

Since we are having crappy weather this spring, our baseball game got cancelled last night. So I watched The Man With The Golden Gun, featuring Roger Moore vs. Christopher Lee. If I also have time tonight, I'll go for A View To A Kill.

Today is the real "Star Wars Day" - May 25, 1977 is when it all began. I was ten years old and didn't see it until mid-summer, but what an awesome, thrilling experience it was! I have found uncounted hours of enjoyment and escape in that galaxy far, far away. And even more worthwhile, I have made friends here on these message boards and many other places based on a common love of this film saga.

So today we salute George Lucas for creating this galaxy. And in this particular forum, we must also salute John Williams for creating that magical music, George's 'special sauce' of the Star Wars saga.

For a special treat, I've hired the Modal Nodes to play for you here today!

Hi all! This is my first time posting in this part of the JCF, and I'm not sure if there's a thread for this sort of thing already, so I hope you don't mind if I ask here: does anyone know if any of Kevin Kiner's music from Star Wars: Rebels is available in sheet music form for purchase anywhere, either as arrangements or as the full score? There's a piece from one of the episodes that I am thinking about trying to arrange for organ: "Journey into the Star Cluster" from "Legends of the Lasat" (series 2, episode 14). If all else fails, I might just try to transcribe as best I can from the recording (all those dictation drills in aural skill classes will be good for something, I hope!), but it would be helpful to have a score of some kind to work from.

Also, just in general, I'd be curious to know if there are any other organists here, and if so, if any of you have recommendations of good SW arrangements for organ.

Thanks, and looking forward to getting to know you further! :)

Hello there! I'm glad you found us. Sorry if the Tavern is a bit slow these days.

I have a nice digital piano that has jazz and church organ settings that sound pretty cool. Unfortunately, I don't play nearly as often as I'd like to. I"m partial to Jon Lord, Hammond organ style of playing. I think that Qui-Gon's Theme would sound cool on the organ. Maybe Yoda's Theme too.

Facebook? I don't need no stinkin' Facebooks! I can remember my own memories just fine. I was actually at Miller Park yesterday with my nephews to watch the Brewers beat the Cardinals 2-1. How does that make you feel as a Cubs fan?

Last night I watched Star Wars. My 40th anniversary viewing, if you will, since I first went to the theater to see in in early August 1977.

Take your date of birth and add three years and you should have some idea of when it was. ;)
