Sam Rockwell is perfectly cast in almost everything he's in.

Christopher Lee as Saruman is pretty much perfection.

 

Apparently George Lucas originally wanted Danny DeVito as Sallah.

 

The casting in Ridley Scott's Robin Hood is very hit or miss. On the hit side are Max Von Sydow (Locksley), William Hurt (Marshall), Mark Strong (bad guy), Oscar Isaac (John) and the actress who plays John's mother. But on the miss side, there's almost everyone else but especially Cate Blanchett (Marian) and Danny Huston (Richard). The film is generally pretty bad though, so that doesn't help matters (ie, Blanchett is a fantastic actress, but either the writing or the way she's been directed seem really off for the character).

Remember in Ghost Rider there was this goth/punk girl they interviewed on TV after she witnessed GR? She was hilariously perfect.
