The Smugglers are 0-2 when they've played the Miners for the Galactic Cup. I'd like to even that out a bit. And no I also didn't see this kind of Final back when this journey started.

 

No matter who wins, the Mercs lose....



Edit: But whatever happened to defense wins championships? Look at those high scores!

 

...which means the Rancor Pitt goes into conniptions, which means we all win.

 

The Bandits are the second last place regular season LFL team to make it to the final. The last team won the championship, will be interesting to see how it plays out this time.

 

I'm a tad busy this week. As a result, I can't get a full-blown awards post up. There are two options:

1. I just post the winners.
2. Somebody else writes it.

I'm equally okay with both. Thoughts, gang?

 

Prefer #2, with #1 as a fallback. (I can't write it because of my college schedule.)

 

Normally I'd jump to volunteer to write. Unfortunately, I'm dealing with a lot in RL right now.

 

Quick question about the draft is...

• Ruunrha (Wookiee, Female, Full Back, University of Trandosha)

A midfielder or a fullback? She is listed as a FB, but in the midfielders section as the number one rated middie.

 

That was my submission, so... full back is correct, according to my PM in February to our illustrious GM.

 

She must be so good that she can be a top-flight middie masquerading as a full back.

 

Ha! I like this explanation, as it covers up my incompetence the best. The rankings have now been corrected and Ruunrha has been randomly placed in the defensive rankings...in the number two position. She is apparently a top flight player at whatever position!

 

And with that correction, the college award winners have now been posted, courtesy of the spiffy new automated script I whipped up over spring break. Don't worry, it still uses random.org for all randomization, just through the official API (interface) for third-party apps instead of manual copying and pasting to and from their website. This way the whole process takes about two to three minutes instead of the ten to fifteen minutes that it took me before, without actually changing the algorithm I use (which weights the selections in favor of higher-ranked players).

 

That being said, that's awesome.

 

Ummm.... She's been the head coach of the Monarchs since 286... the last time she was nominated for the Langann...

I thought about LFL Championship scores last night, but I was already in bed. They should be up in a few hours, definitely by the end of the day.

 

And, as tradition dictates, they made it up before the Galactic Cup Final! And an excellent Final it was! About time the Smugglers beat the Miners for one and what a career it caps. This one should be long remembered in the Vertical City (...and on Bakura, for entirely different reasons ). I have a feeling I know who won the Numifolis Award this year...
