hopefully some news will surface eventually.

 

So it looks like Amazon is listing the new Ahsoka FOD doll as available for purchase; and she's twice as much as any of the other standalone dolls. I'm just going wait to see if/when they're sold at the local retailers like Target. Other online retailers have the doll available as a pre-order for the regular price of those dolls (around $20); they say that it should be available "in May" - which could mean any time in the next 13 days.

 

I met Ashley today. Bucket list check-off.


She is good people.

 

Sooo lucky, you Americans she's never in a bad mood and I wonder if she noticed a certain RC 1138 Boss standing behind her.

 

Back in April I heard people who pre-ordered were already getting her. There were some pictures on social media.

I too am hoping to find her locally. Though if I can't do it soon, I'll order her and stomach the shipping.

 

They actually have a few unboxing videos of the doll on YouTube.

 

I got the doll in from Entertainment Earth the other day. I absolutely love her, I really want a second if she ever becomes more easily available. Her headtails feel like I always imagine they should feel too. Great doll.

 

How much did you pay for her, if you mind my asking?

 

About 30$. 26.94$ is what my card charged exactly, and I am in Texas so that should be with taxes here.

Thing about the doll is it seems like they cut down quality. Her shoulders do not really move, and her elbows fall off constantly. Head is hollow, but the headtails are my favourite part.

 

How is it on par with the other FOD dolls?

I only have Leia (Endor), Sabine, Rey with BB8 and regular Rey. I like Ahsoka best of all of these character wise, and she is my favourite Star Wars character overall...

having said that, probably one of the worst dolls. Mostly due to her shoulder and elbow problems. Face is amazing though, cannot and will not complain about that. But overall, you can tell where they kinda went down on quality.

 

Well if I'm going to buy the doll I'll wait until the price comes down then.

 

When I met her a couple of weeks ago during a signing in Manhattan, no one was dressed in costume. There were a few people who claimed to be in the 501st Legion, however.

 

Celebrations are such a blast. I hope you have a great time at your first.

I've been reading Ashley's new book, Her Universe, and as it's kind of like a self-help book she does a good job of incorporating not only Disney characters into specific situations but SW as well. She gives a nod to Ahsoka and Anakin's first meeting where he suggests to her that she wouldn't have made it as OB1's Padawan; but her unconventional style of getting things done is just out of his playbook.

 

It comes to Europe every few years. I hope you’ll be able to go eventually. It is a blast.
