Policy Official Username Change Request Policy

Hello. I would like to change my username to Hobbie.

Reason: My current username was really a last minute idea when I first registered some time ago. It's rather flat and awkward to me now. So I would like to change it to one of my favorite unsung characters of the SW universe. (As far as I can tell via search, it's available).

Ah, thank you. I was using the wrong search key apparently.
It seems my second choice is taken as well. Okay, will be back with third choice in a bit after more searching.

 

I have a couple of choices in mind but I have a question for clarification sake.

If I wanted to use a proper name, like Thomas (let's say, for pure example). But I check and there's already one Thomas (and one Thomas only) listed in the member register, would I be allowed to add a further description either before or after the proper name to qualify for a new name? (For example, Thomas the Great or Bad Thomas)

 

Yes, you can do that (as long as it doesn't already exist). Other users have used numbers, such as Thomas_1977, to make a name unique. Of course the name has to be allowable under the Terms of Service as well (so no cussing or anything like that).

Looks like you might have a winner there - I don't see anyone with that name. I'm not the one who does the name changes though - that's our Head Admin.

Reason: Even though I like Shaak Ti, it's weird to have the species of a character you also dislike as your username (Ahsoka). I've been wanting to change my username for some time now, I just couldn't come up with a replacement. I've decided to just go with something non-specific and made up. I've searched and it doesn't look like it's taken.
