Agreed. The doors opening to reveal Maul should have been a moment and it would have been if they hadn't put it in the damn trailer, not that it wasn't still cool but it had the potential to be as iconic as the Trench Run, except that they spoiled it.

The funereal scene is pretty powerful.
Look at it from Palpatine's perspective: He just lost his apprentice of the last two decades. They must have had a close relationship and I would presume Palpatine cares about him, in his evil, twisted way. Yet, he has to hide his loss while the Jedi -- his enemy, who he despises -- grieve solemnly. Plus, they all get to wear their hoods, and he doesn't! How sad.

Definitely the Duel, everything about it was awesome, especially the music.
Other than that, the meeting of Anakin and Obi-Wan for the first time.

On first viewing, the pod race and the lightsaber duel were neck and neck. But upon further analysis, it has to be Sio Bibble hands down.

"your focus determines your reality" (Qui-gon Jinn)
simple, to the point, and most definately a universal truth that applies in any galaxy regardless of how far away it is.
even tho i think Maul is a joke as a character in the saga, there is no doubt the fight scene was sweet and well choreagraphed (much credit to Ray Park for making it stand above other battles in the series)
almost forgot...the score during the dual of the fates is in my opinion J.W.s best work of the entire saga, and that is saying alot for me =)

Totally agree.
The next would have to be just seeing actual fully trained Jedi at work. TPM wasn't exactly what I thought of when I used to imagine what the prequels would be like, but it more than met my expectations. Awesome movie I think!!!

I do love the Phantom Menace. I think it flows the best out of the prequels. I also think it's got some of the coolest imagery. It's not my favorite of the PT though. That'd be ROTS.

The first 20 mins is the best in all the PT.
Darth Maul Rocks
Qui Gon - This is what OBI was talking about in ANH. Thats what i thought Jedi were like.
Big Liam gives the best acting preformance any actor has given in any SW movie.
The Duel is the best in the PT IMO.
Watching a new SW movie after so long a wait.

The final duel between Kenobi and Maul -- before Kenobi gets tossed into the pit -- are the most electrfying two minutes of swordfighting ever committed to film.

Amen.
And... IMO, that sequence also looked the most real.
