Prequel Trilogy Forum Rules

- Discuss the films, not the fans who post here. If your comment is directed at a user or a group of users, just don't post it. It could lead to waters that are better left unsailed. Treat your fellow fans with respect, even if you disagree vehemently with them.
- Be considerate of your fellow posters, especially the new folks on the block. You don't know the repercussions of your actions, so make sure that all of your actions are good ones.
- Stop and think before you hit the "post" button. Try to make sure you are adding to the conversation in a positive manner, as well as maintaining your opinion and keeping within the Terms Of Service. Make sure that your post is germaine and on-topic.
- Contact a PT moderator if you see a thread which you feel is inappropriate - posting "this should be locked!" does nothing to solve the problem, and can actually worsen the situation in some cases. Make a calm, relevant Private Message to a PT forum moderator, outlining the problem and giving a link to the thread in question.
- Avoid getting into Canon debates and battles. Please do not state that the EU is 100% canon or the ONLY correct answer to a question; please do not state that any answer or theory must be rejected because it originates in the EU. Users are expected to respect the fact that the point of view of the other is one of many possibilities.
- Please avoid bringing politics into the discussion, especially current and controversial situations and issues. We do understand that sometimes it is relevant and can be done tactfully and respectfully. If you are not sure if your comments meet this request, please PM one of the PT moderators and ask them.
- Contact one of the PT moderators, or any of the admins, if you have a problem, question or concern.
- Have fun while interacting and getting acquainted with your fellow Star Wars Fans!
DON'TS
- Don't spam: filling the forums with unnecessary or irrelevant posts.
- Don't flame: insulting any other JC member or antagonizing another member.
- Don't troll: posting with a hostile intent or an intent to elicit a negative response from users.
- Don't start more than 2 threads per day: In order to make sure that the forum is not inundated with unneeded threads, the forum moderators will lock the 3rd thread in the same day by the same author. Subsequent threads will be deleted and a ban may result.
- Don't start redundant threads. Please check the first five pages of the forum before you start a new topic. Your thread may very well already exist.
POST ETIQUETTE
- Please do not post threads with the subject in all caps or with excessive symbols to draw attention to your thread.
- Please refrain from using the quote function to quote and reply to a post immediately prior to your own.
- Please refrain from using the quote function to quote long posts and reply to them with a very short answer (this includes "QFT" and smiley only posts.)
- Please try to avoid extremely long line-by-line responses to another user's post. Try to reply to their entire post, not break it down sentence by sentence.
