I tried watching this movie last night, but the acting and dialogue was so bad that I turned it off, it was way to distracting to enjoy.

It does seem to be a growing trend among fans to diss Episode 2, but I really cant see why. George Lucas was never the master of dialogue, and with this film hes continuing his intricate setup for the original trilogy, which is the point of the prequels.
I actually find episode 2 to be one of the most enjoyable of the saga honestly.

Didn't Trebor also have a pop at Dooku and Fett? Unsuccessful that it was.

Mace should have gone in swinging vs. trying to apparently take everyone prisoner, i.e. instead of slipping his lightsaber under Fett's chin... he should have taken his head off and gone straight for Dooku.

I don't think anyone ever hated Episode II, and I don't know where anyone got that impression.

Sure some people dislike the movie or bits of the movie, but I don't believe for a second they actually hate it.

Well I don't think it does any good to declare this sort of thing in a thread on here. It's nice that you refuse to believe it, but it's not necessary for you to come into this thread again and again disbelieving that anyone can actually hate AOTC or any other SW film for that matter.

The premise of the thread is "why does AOTC seem to be so hated?".
I don't think it -is- hated, and even if what you say about the person you know who really hates it is true, that doesn't support the concept that AOTC is "so hated". If anything it's hated by a few people tops.
It's like if there was a thread that asked why ANH has so much Jar-Jar in it. To have it continue on without someone pointing out that there is no Jar-Jar in ANH, it would only serve to confuse people who might not realize that.
Why does AOTC seem to be so hated? I have no idea. It doesn't seem to be hated at all to me.
I mean why not have a thread that's titled: Why do the prequels suck so much?
