Yes, yes..he should of taken the less obvious road and just not of been so desperate.

The jedi should of given padme a restaining order against him...

and you guys came up with some good ideas..better than what was actually said ,even though I'd laugh at some of those also.. laugh

What is your least favorite scene in the Prequel Trilogy?
I would say the fireplace scene in AOTC.

Yep - that is just the one that leaped to mind as I read the title of this thread. I find most of the "romantic scenes" to be painful, with the exception of "That sounds an awful lot like a dictatorship to me." "Well, if it works...?"

Film: Yoda's loss to Palpatine.

Other sources: The ludicrous idea of making Yoda Qui-Gon's apprentice.

90% of all scenes with Anakin and Padme being romantic the Lucas way.

I hate the AOTC love scenes too - 5 year olds could have come up with more realistic dialogue. At least they use contractions. rolling_eyes

But for a change of pace, I'm going to throw out the middle 2/3 of the pod race in TPM. Summed up, in my opinion, thus: Anakin's going to crash/die! But wait! He manages to survive! But wait! He's going to crash/die/be thwarted! But wait! Did you know he's the only human who can podrace?

sick doh!

Real heroes were like the characters in that man Tolkien's story, who did what they had to even if they hated it, even if it took their own lives away from them.

I think it's a toss up between the fireplace scene and his confession of the Tusken slaughter scene. Those are both tough to watch, though at least the latter gets some good classic music added to it.

Sorry to disagree but the podracing scene was awesome.

The fireplace scene in AOTC was terrible.

ROTS: the whole Anakin/Padme in the balcony scene "so love has blinded you?" doh! sick

On its own the scene would be awful, but in the context of the whole movie and especially the end when Padme was the only one who couldn't see that Anakin had turned to evil, it's actually not bad IMO.

Talk about subtlety. Or should I say the lack of it.
Instead of showing us character progression and development, we get "BAMMED" with it.
"See, I showed you via some contrived dialogue that Padme was soo in love with him that it clouded her judgement." I for one, would rather have not been force-fed her blindness.
