Okay, I am a big darth maul fan, i thought the character was the best in the prequels. Every single time i get into a conversation about tpm everyone always talks about the fight between darth maul and obi wan and qui-gon. The answers i get from everyone are from darth maul's force push on obi-wan was cheap or obi-wan was definitely stronger than darth maul...etc. So what do others think, were the moves that darth maul used so called cheap moves or were they just down right smart? Let me know.

As for my answer, well darth maul was a powerful sith lord, his finesse with the light saber was most impressive. the way he handled the jedi (qui-gon, and obi-wan) was even more impressive. to me he moves weren't cheap. force pushing someone back was a defensive move and an offensive move to gain the upper hand and it worked. now, the move he did where he stunned qui-gon with the lightsaber to the face, i mean that was qui-gons fault lol. he was no match for darth maul, especially in close quarters as he was, he light saber style was very weak when in tight areas. overall, i hated the way they got rid of maul, personally he should have easily blocked that shot that obi-wan made. should have ended with maul surviving and returning in the second film being killed by darth tyrannus. personally, i thought obi wan was a fool in that fight, it was mainly his fault his master was killed, i mean what ever happened to force speed he could have made it through the blast shields to help qui-gon. that is my answer.
