I may have made an error.
Perhaps getting mixed up with a Fanfic.
Perhaps not though. I will check again.

Wow...where on Earth did you get that conclusion from? lol
According to Leland Chee (who is hired by Lucas Licensing to keep track of stuff like this), SW Novels, movies, video games, and etc. are CANON.
"C-canon is Continuity Canon, consisting of all recent works (and many older works) released under the name of Star Wars: books, comics, games, cartoons, non-theatrical films, and more. Games are a special case, as generally only the stories are C-canon, while things like stats and gameplay may not be; they also offer non-canonical options to the player, such as choosing female gender for a canonically male character. C-canon elements have been known to appear in the movies, thus making them G-canon; examples include the name "Coruscant," swoop bikes, Quinlan Vos, Aayla Secura, YT-2400 freighters and Action VI transports"

So if i wrote a movie into a book, and changed scenes then it would be Canon material? GG sir, please try again.

I think he was surprised because 1: He didn't expect to lose and 2: He thought he had a deal with Sidious.
Regarding the Novel vs Film of that fight I have always thought that they didn't jive well. In the novel Dooku is portrayed as being totaly outmatched by Kenobi and Skywalker. In the film it appears that Dooku is still far superior to both of them and can duel them at once. Only when the Chosen One dips into the Darkside is he able to overcome an over confident Tyranus.

Nobody mentions Dark Rendezvous and how Dooku practically KNEW he was going to be betrayed sooner or later but ended up choosing the dark path anyway?

What I see in the film ( and I don't recall it being portrayed in the novel ) is that Anakin fights dirty.

He addressed the issue but seemed to be shy of fully admitting it to himself.
He almost went back to the Jedi in DR and Ventress forced him to think about being betrayed.
It was as if he was in denial about some things.

Yep, In DR he had his doubts about the darkside and Yoda sensed conflict within him. Although, he had too much pride to return to the Jedi he knew he'd be betrayed eventually by the sith.
But he made his bed, and he lay in it. Ventress put thoughts in his head that once turning to the darkside, you are never truly forgiven by the Jedi. Dooku had a close relationship to Yoda though, and thats why he requested he come to speak to him.

He looked on course to go back until Anakin showed up. He asked Yoda why he had brought him and Yoda said that he was not responsible.
He was definitely jealous of Anakin.

Grabbing the opponent's wrists, as opposed to the pure swordplay that Dooku favors.

I don't think "fighting dirty" really applies when your opponent just choked the crap out of your buddy and then dropped a flight of stairs on him.
Not Anakin's fault Dooku never worried about forearm workouts.

It is said that Dooku was to fight Anakin with everything he got, then if Anakin wasnt ready he would not be able to beat Dooku, if he did beat him, then he was ready, and Sidious said he would stop the fight. (LIE)..
What was the point of Sidious wanting Anakin as his Sith apperentice if he wasnt more powerflul than Dooku?
Dooku was owned, its no doubt about that..
"Soon i will have a new apperentice. One far younger, and more powerful!"

I thought that early on in that duel, Dooku had both jedi covered, but when Anakin started chanelling the anger, he out and out overpowered Dooku.
