For the OP:

How powerful could Anakin have become? Well, he wouldn't have become a god unless he could start making life and stopping death. Was it ever proven that Darth Plagueis actually did stop his loved ones from dying? Or was that just more Palpatine B*? After all, Palpatine uses the words "loved ones". Do Sith have "loved ones"?

Anakin was holding back. As said in the novel "For old times sake". Anaking was fed up with the duel so he wanted to end it...

I really doubt that. Anakin was fed up - fed up with having to listen to Obi-Wan, he's furious that Obi-Wan has "taken" Padme from him, fed up with Obi-Wan always making him feel less than what he thought he should feel. He was not "holding back" in the duel. Obi-Wan was definitely the one holding back. He didn't want to kill Anakin, whereas it was quite clear from Anakin's pissed off attitude that he was more than willing to kill Obi-Wan.

i.e. like Padme, getting someone in a strangle hold in no way implies one is "holding back".

I am sure a freaking flashback of the endless scolding and holding back came to his mind that he wanted to finish his master in style. He got overconfident and "died" that day.

if you watch closely... Obi-Wan was really scared (I would be), that when Anakin says: This is the end for you my master... Look at obi-wans face and expression.

[shrug] depends on one's POV. I thought Obi-Wan looked sad. He had the same sad expression when he jumped from the tower so Anakin could go over the lava waterfall. I don't think Obi-Wan was ever scared of Anakin. Scared for him, maybe, but never scared of him. After all, he taught Anakin everything the guy knew, he knew his weaknesses...and it was telling. Who walked away from the duel without a scratch on him?

Yeah, Anakin was overconfident, he always was, and that limited his power. His potential could never be reached because he could never master himself. Becoming a Sith didn't help his self-discipline problem at all. I think in the Scholastic edition of RotS, Palpatine knows that truncated Anakin will now never reach his potential because he would never be able to channel Force lightning since he needed organic limbs to do so.

"Are there Sith on this planet, Master Kenobi? Are they coming for us now? Should we - I don't know - run?"
"Run?" he echoed. "Run where, do you suggest?"
"I don't know! Away?"
