Since Han and Lando are chronologically similar, Han was born circe 29BBY, and EPIII happened in 20-19BBY, one can assume Lando was alive and very much adolescent (i.e. NOT piloting the Falcon). According to the The SW OS : "The Falcon began life as a standard Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 stock light freighter." Wookiepedia states the Falcon was constructed in 60BBY, and after the CEC went out of business, the Galactic Senate and Jedi secretly used the ship as part of the secretive "Republic Group" (circa 29BBY).
