I hope there is scene in RotS showin Vader torture jar jar with some new torturing equipment the empire is testing.
"We will TEST it... on Binks.."
I felt a few of jar jar's actions could have been toned down... well actually, all of them could have been toned down, his whole theme of 'lets just have a crazy animated gag at any moment' was a little much. But he's not the only thing that gets muted in TPM.
His role in RotS is exactly what it should have been all along IMO.

Apologies if this has already been asked.
Why make Jar Jar a senator? This isn't a character-bashing, but I struggle to understand what motivated the Gungans/whoever to make Jar Jar their planetary representative. Okay, Nass made him a general in TPM because he brought together the Naboo and the Gungans (from a certain point of view) ... but this can't be the reason he was made a Senator, too.
Surely there were better candidates among the Gungans somewhere. In the Gungan city scenes there was a council of sorts present ... why not have one of them in the Senate? Someone with experience in politics and leadership?

A lot of people have pointed out that Jar Jar Binks didn't get a lot of screen time in ROTS. Some have said that he only appears once, and that he never speaks, but I actually counted three appearances (and one line)!:
1) After the "happy landing," outside the Senate building, when Palpatine is greeted by the senators, Jar Jar can be seen. He accidentally bumps into another senator. ("Watch it!" "Excuse me.")
2) During the scene in the Senate, when Palpatine denounces the Jedi and proclaims the formation of the Empire, Jar Jar can be seen in the pod with Padme, Bail Organa, Captain Typho, and a handmaiden.
3) He's also, of course, at Padme's funeral, alongside Boss Nass.
Has anyone ever seen that movie "Point Blank," from 1967? It stars Lee Marvin and Angie Dickinson. I won't rehash the plot in detail, but I would like to point out an interesting parallel. At the climax of the movie, set on Alcatraz, Lee Marvin's character Walker realizes he's been duped by the main villain of the story. After which Walker recedes into the shadows, never to be seen again, alive or dead. I know this may be lost on anyone who hasn't seen "Point Blank," but...what do you think? Walker recedes into the shadows of Alcatraz at the end of "Point Blank," and Jar Jar recedes into the periphery of the SW Saga! Walker = Jar Jar? Yeeeeeaaahh, that's the ticket!
On a more serious note...Remember, in TPM, when Jar Jar almost ends up getting his you-know-what kicked by Sebulba, and young Anakin saves him? Qui-Gon Jinn then warns him that he's headed for trouble. Now, Jar Jar doesn't want to create any trouble for anybody. He says, "Mesa hatin' crunchen'! Dat's de last ting mesa wants!" Well...one of the big problems that everyone in the PT has is that even though everybody says that they want peace, and they don't want war, "crunchen'" is what everything ultimately comes down to. Queen Amidala: "I will not condone an action that will lead us to war!" Mace Windu: "We're keepers of the peace, not soldiers!" But everybody ends up being convinced of the inevitability of war, and then rushes into the fray of battle! And who ultimately suffers the worst "crunch" of them all? Yes, that's right! The Jedi Order itself! So, in a way, Jar Jar is a symbol for the innocence of the young Anakin and for the way all the characters end up getting swept up by the tides of war! In a way, it's appropriate that Jar Jar is the one who proposes "emergency powers" for Chancellor Palpatine! I certainly don't blame him for it at all. (I mean, just like at the guy's bright and beaming face as he smiles after giving his proposal to the Senate! He looks so proud of himself, and you feel so bad for the way the poor guy got played!) If Jar Jar hadn't proposed the Chancellor's emergency powers, someone else probably would have. But in symbolic terms, it's only fitting that it WAS Jar Jar!
(Of course some people have pointed out that when Jar Jar steps into a pile of excrement in TPM, that serves the same purpose as what I've just mentioned. But I think that most people only mean that half-seriously! )

Now that I think about it, I'd be quite comfortable with Jar Jar dying on Alderaan. He might have been there, he might have been on Naboo. Doesn't matter. He still has a long tongue.

Jar Jar wuz an abomination in Menace......... but ya know, he's almost likeable and kinda funny in Clones. Tolerable to an extent. He doesn't hamper Episode II like he did Episode I. Guess I'm having an epiphany. Mr. Lucas, I'm seeing the light. Maybe there IS alittle of your genius in Jar Jar and Gungans in general.

I was hoping Jar Jar would die in Episdoe III but not because I don't like the character or want to see a long drawn out death sequence when all hisa people die. I was hoping he would further be used to represent the naievity and innocence of the galaxy and as a personal representation of the Republic, like Mace was of the Jedi Order. Jar Jar's incompetence reflecting the Republic's, Jar Jar's lack of intellegence and the Senate's, and so on. So I actually do think that Jar Jar serves a purpose beyond being Threepio's lacking stand in.

I'm pretty sure that was his voice in ROTJ 2004.

I don't know who it was, nor do I have the link, but I distinctly remember reading or hearing somewhere that somebody else (Mathew Wood?) did the voice of the Gungan in ROTJ 2K4. Mainly because I recall my reaction was "Oh, so that wasn't Jar Jar then?"
I wonder what Lucas' plan for Jar Jar's fate ultimately was.
