You know what's good- no, incredible?
Buffy episode 416: The Body. Wow. In all honesty, I can't think of any better example of television as an art form. For those forty minutes I had no track of time or the outside world. In fact, even now, half an hour later, I'm still in that strange euphoric daze you encounter so rarely from an entertainment medium. It's the sort of story you feel privileged just to have seen. Just... wow.
And if it's not on the Stories In Which A Grown Man Is Allowed To Cry list, I will gladly turn myself in for prosecution.

Oh yeah, so allowed to cry. The kicker was that back in the day I knew the episode was coming (spoiler junkie that I am) and it still felt like a punch to the guts.
I've got to get through Stargate so I can watch Buffy again.

When you look at your life in all of its intricacies and realise that despite its many small faults it really is wonderful. I've got a job that I love going to (although the workload is massive), a boyfriend who would bend over backwards for me, and paid holidays for the first time in my life.
Life is wonderful.

Sounds like Marv and Kit had a pretty good day.
WG: Just finished watching Gilmore Girls final season. Although tinged with sadness when it's something you've been looking forward to for such a long time. Kinda like when we saw episode 3 and knew that was it.
Not every ones cup of tea I know, but what's good to me about that show was that general unsuredness, confusion, range of emotions someone can go through in a very short time that the main characters exemplified. Exaggerated and soap-operad I guess but it has always felt so close to what life actually feels like to me, despite all the fluff the show encompassed. I got that they fell in love and loved other people too, broke up when they weren't sure if that was the right thing, got back together knowing it might be a mistake, felt guilty but coninued to do stupid things, but still beleived that the love of those closest to them would bring them to the other loves life should be about.
It's a dumb, trivial show and tv isn't life but it's meant something to me over the past 5 years or so. So had to write a what's good about it. Now I'll go to bed and be really grumpy tomorrow that I stayed up past my bedtime

Today. I took my dog to the park, and completely tired her and myself out. My new computer is working without a hitch. I've got a handful of good games to play and a fridge full of beer.
