Anakin's age confusion comes from RA Salvatore not paying attention to Terry Brooks final chapter of TPM, where it states that Anakin's birthday is a year away, but AOTC starts ten years to the day TPM ended.

I find it interesting how Anakin and Luke are virtually the same age when they face something that will decide both their future and the future of the galaxy. It really does help with the parallel of the choices they face.

Anakin was 9 in TPM. Add 10 years until Episode 2, plus 3 until Episode 3 and he's.... Uh.... carry the.... 22.
Padme was 14 in TPM, add the 10 and the 3, she's.... 27.

Anakin was nine and Padme was thirteen in TPM.
Ten yeas later AoTC happened, Anakin was nineteen and Padme was twenty-three.
Two years later RoTS happened, Anakin was twenty-one and Padme was twenty-five.
Do the math people.

Padme was 14 in TPM, not thirteen. She is five years older than Anakin. Anakin was 22 or 23 which makes Padme 27 or 28 give or take a year from them both.

I am pretty sure this is how it goes...
TPM-
Anakin=9
Padme=14
AOTC-
Anakin=19
Padme=24
ROTS-
Anakin=22
Padme=27
Anakin and Padme are 5 years apart
However, it was stated that Anakin was 20 in AOTC. What that means is that Anakin was close to 10 in TPM, and just turned 20 in AOTC.
Anakin is 23 in ROTS, and Padme 27.

Who said they thought Padme was 19 in TPM? Nat Portman wasn't even quite that age at the time. I believe she was might have been as old as 17 or 18 when it was filmed. But the character was definately 14. And Ani was 9.

The character of Padme was 14, almost 15 in TPM, while Natalie had just turned 16 a couple weeks before TPM filming began.

So, your saying they were about 3 years apart wow they must grow pretty fast in that Galaxy That hast to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard ok lets back track little Ani on Tantooine was 8 or 9 i beilive and Padme had to be alteast 18 or 19 do we need to break out the calcualter or can we do some simple math. In ROTS anakin was probly 21 or 22 and Padme had to be around 28 mayabe even 30 I mean she looked young but this is all a movie folks its amazing after 13 years she dosnt age a bit.
Yeah but its hollywood years so its all good.
