Hey, I spent waaaay to much time trying to figure out how old Darth Vader was at the end of ROTJ to be called a whiner. A tad obsessive, maybe,....So he was 45 at the end of ROTJ? That Dark Side influence is not good for keeping one's looks.

Where are you getting Anakin's age in TPM from?
the novel i presume?

TPM: 9
AOTC: 19
ROTS: 22
Padme
TPM: 14
AOTC: 24
ROTS: 27
Thus,
Anakin 22
Padme 27

I think at this point, we are going to have to agree to disagree. I personally am in the camp of Anakin being 20 in AOTC and 23 in ROTS, and Padme being 24 in AOTC and 27 in ROTS.
As far as Han and Leia, they were about 9 years apart in age, making him 28 in ANH and her 19 (again, IMO).

Anakin is either 22 or 23 in ROTS and Padmé is either 27 or 28 in ROTS.

Anakin is 5 years behing in TPM however only 4 years in ROTS. This is due to the fact that the Tatooine revolves around the sun at a slightly quicker rate than that of Naboo does around its sun. Anakin's age is based on Tatooine time because he records were lost when he was sold to the Huts. Anakin was able to gain a year in the ten year period. Anakin and Padme would have been the same age in 40 more years if she hadn't died. However, because Tatooine has 2 suns, Anakin could decide to use the second calculation bu then he would only be 12. Only the people on Mos Eisly use the age metric of the second sun.

I think people are just being silly.
At the end of the TPM novelization, it says that Anakin will turn 10 next year. R.A. Salvatore chose to leave that part out and just say that Anakin was nine going on ten, in TPM and turns 20 in Chapter 1 of the AOTC book. Shmi is talking to Owen and notes that it is Anakin's birthday, that day. One month later is when the film begins. Three years pass and Anakin's 23, which is mentioned in both LOE and ROTS.
Blame Salvatore for going against what Terry Brooks wrote.

Anakin was about the same age as Luke in TESB... that is 22 years old... By the time of ROTJ, which occurred one year after TESB, Luke turned 23 years old... strange coincidence isn't it???
On the other hand, Padme was about 27 years old... She was 5 years older than Anakin...
So now, you all know why Beru replies that Luke has much of his own father????
Anakin had a premonition of his beloved one dying at childbirth and went on to figure out how to stop it, making an allegiance with the Sith, and oath that wasn't supposed to be made... As for Luke, he had a vision of his friends suffering and runned to help them when he was not supposed to go because he hadn't finished his training... They both had not much patience and had to much anger... Never their mind on where they were, always thinking about the future... What they were doing... Adventure... Excitement, and reckless...
About the anger topic... I think there was much anger in Anakin, than in Luke...

Anakin is 20 in AOTC, and Shmi lights a candle for him. ZSHe goes outside and cries because she misses him.
Padme is 24 in AOTC.
Anakin is 23 in ROTS, and Padme is either 27 or 28. It's Padme's age that i9sn't cemented, but in TPM novel, she thinks about the fact at she's been fourteen for about 4 months. And a queen for about three. So I would guess she's about 4.5 years older than Anakin. Since in TPM, his 10 birthday is just a couple of months off.
Anakin 23 (not at ALL in question), and Padme, 27-28.

Yeah, but Palpy never falls into a lava pit and he ends up looking like mid-70's Keith Richards.  And twenty years after the Mustafar incient, Anakin sports the pasty Humpty Dumpty look. ick.

Doesn't matter how old they are -- they act like they are both 9! One's a whiner and the other a spoiled brat. And both are irresponsible for having unprotected sex.
Luke and Leia came out as well as the did because they had better foster homes than the nightmare they would have had, had Anakin and Padme been their parents. Sheesh!
