I think it was done well - implication was enough for me

This scene is the emotional lynchpin of the movie. The fact that people are getting genuinely upset about it proves it to me. It moves RotS beyond mere entertainment to art.

I thought the youngling scene was overrated, they didn't even look scared, guess they didn't know it was coming. IMHO it was kinda weak. They should have let Lucas's kid cut down a few more clones and cut the youngling scene out. There was kid that was like 8 sitting next to me with his mom, and he ho hummed the scene. It could have been PG.

I thought it worked, but why did everyone have to keep saying "younglings?" When Anakin comes back from killing sandpeople, he says he killed women and *children,* not younglings.
Also, I think in retrospect the massacre in AOTC diminishes the impact of Anakin killing the Younglings.

I knew they wouldn't show anything, so I wasn't disappointed. In AOTC, I really wanted to see him kill the sand people...
I had no problem with it.

I thought they looked scared. They obviously put up a good fight as their bodies were at the other end of the temple.

I thought it was very stylishly handled. Although I agree about overuse of the phrase "younglins."
I actually excepted more to be shown. I'm glad it wasn't. This was an appropriate level of darkness and evil without going too far.

This scene was powerful, extremly powerful, and the last step on Anakin's journey to the dark side. I loved it, actually loved to hate it
What an awesome movie...

Yeah it was okay. I wanted more blood though. And I wanted to see Anakin actually dueling Cin Draigg (sp?) and Shaak Ti. I mean, wtf...stay out of the cutting room, Lucas.

What the heck is wrong with you people? Of course the scene with him ready to kill the kids was in good taste. I was hoping they would just show him killn the little kids to show how dark he was really was. Lucas had to give something that would make us associate this Vader with the one that everyone loved to hate in the New Hope and Empire Strikes Back. Besides, Its just a movie!!!, nobody really died!!!!!
( If you dont want your kids to see it, dont take them to a PG 13 movie!!!!!!!!)
