Children strapping on bombs? No, it's the adults that are taking advantage of their innocence to use them as tools for death. Can't you understand something that simple?

You got c*****r farm-boy Luke Skywalker,
Nazi poster boy - blond hair, blue eyes.
And then you've got Darth Vader:
the blackest brother in the galaxy. Nubian God.

RE: The Youngling Slaughter - What's your opinion now that you've seen it?
I don't recall seeing a slaughter of kids in those films. I mean, you're going to have dead people, but dead kids?
-------------------------------------
TRUE JEDI did u even ever watch ANH?
Vader and Tarkin BLEW UP A PLANET!!! How many "little kids" do u think were on it??
Who cares if we didnt "see the little kids die", that matters so very little in light of the act itself.
We never saw any Tuskin raider kids dying, but we still know they did all the same.
I dont find kids dying any more horrible then adults in a movie, life is a sacred thing no matter the age.

True Jedi,
Clearly the kids had it coming. The little brats were still up late at night, so they had to be punished..

I find it hilarious that
TrueJedi
finds no problems with adults being brutally murdered, but is completely up in arms about children being murdered. Talk about a double standard.

What is wrong with you guys? Are you purposely not trying to understand what I'm saying?
An entire planet gets blown up? Fine, we don't actually see the dead bodies or see people get blown up. Adults get killed? Fine, but I PERSONALLY don't like seeing kids victimized.
I'm talking about the visual aspect of seeing kids about to be butchered and then pictures of their bodies.
Get this through your heads so I don't have to keep repeating it. Good God.
sithscotti418, of course they had it coming. No doubt.

I actually understand True Jedi's point. Even in horror films we never saw children being killed, just annoying horney teens, and this is star wars, which no mater how you spin it is still being marketed to kids. I don't think the visual of childrens corpses is necessary.
It won't ruin the experience for me(although I rather it be impled than shown), but I can see this being an issue for parents.

..so having a character kill them is fine, but showing a limp body on the floor is bad?
Okkkayyyy.
The visual is NEEDED to show how far Anakin has gone. U can talk about it all day, but seeing the scene will be FAR more powerful and impactful to the story.

the fact that people are saying it is bad taste, is sick, is unneccesary, and should have been left out shows that lucas made a great decision putting it in, and directed the scene effectively....that is the exact thing he wants the audience to feel

sithscotti418, that's exactly what I'm saying. You're one of the only people who is understanding this very simple concept.
..so having a character kill them is fine, but showing a limp body on the floor is bad?
Okkkayyyy.
Nooooo, not OK. I would not want to see or hear about their death. But obviously it has to be assumed so at the very worst, that's all we have to deal with.
Please tell me you now understand what I'm saying.

Seriously Don't you guys at least asgree Lucas shouldn't be marketing this film to kids , if he is going to show images of dead children. Honestly that is a very fair criticism. Lucas is trying to have it both ways. Please the fanboys by making it ultra dark, yet still have it plastered in toy rus and commericals during kid shows.

Sandpeople are cool. They used to be a very high-tech race until they somehow ended up stranded on Tatooine. They're like the Fremen in dune. If only they had captured Luke and had him become their leader over time because he had special heriditary powers, then he would have been able to become the new emperor of the galaxy...except theres no spice or sandworms on tatooine.
And, uh, yeah, killing the jedi kids was bad. Its not as bad a blowing up a whole planet full of people though, so I don't see why everyone has their panties in a bundle over this scene.
Also, in ROTJ, an ewok died. Ask yourself: what is the greater tragedy? a kid getting killed, or midget in a furry suit getting killed?
*weeps for furry midget*
