After Shmi died, Cliegg worked as a sex slave in Jabba's Palace after waking from a coma induced by taking a heavy drag on a moisture vaporator. If you look closely at the scene in ROTJ when Luke enters Jabba's Palace: the Spider droid crosses frame in the rear of shot and just before the cut, you can make out Cliegg following it wearing suspender stockings [content removed].

I'm pretty sure the real way he died was by Tusken Raiders. Anakin didn't kill all the Tuskens from that tribe. Just the ones that were there. When the others got back and found their families and friends slaughtered, they tracked Anakin back to the Lars homestead. Owen and Beru were off on their honeymoon, and came back to a dead dad. Owen always blamed anakin for his dad's death, and that's why he's so opposed to Luke following in his father's footsteps.

Good point. Just because we dont see him in the very short scene at the end, doesnt mean hes dead yet. He could be anywhere.
